My contractor cleared my laneway at 10pm last evening and cleared the snowbank left by the plow this morning. I made calls to the staff advising them to stay home if the roads in their area aren't safe. I'm heading to the clinic and probably will be dealing with a lot of cancellations. Another day in paradise.

Going to be 3-6C during light hours with some sub temps at night until Saturday, and little chance of any snow here now.

Car was a bit angry waking up this morning but at least next week looks like shorts and pina colada weather.

It's currently 8 degrees in Nashville but look a few days down in the forecast, crazy.

Have you ever done Hawaii? I recognize it is a pretty long flight for you and is a relatively high cost spot. Cuba is a simpler flight for you and I imagine is a relative bargain.

Never been and not planning either. I go to Cayo Coco for sun and surf. It's a quiet resort, mostly adults form Canada and Europe. No shopping except for a few small Mom & Pa boutiques. The small airport is next door with direct flights to and from Moncton via Sunwings. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to accommodate you and it's always nice to connect with familiar faces. I like to sample their local rums and even the occasional hand rolled cigar made on site. And of course, mojitos.

Seemed like fog, then got a little damper, and then there were puddles yesterday. Looked it up and there had been a 3% chance of rain.

Today it's sunny, 61 with a slight breeze. City Manager and Police Chief are reminding us that we are disaster employees, just in case the rain Sunday night/Monday morning is intense again.

In a switch from the usual pattern, we are 32F and cloudy but no precip -- just fog; Portland, Oregon, where we watch local TV channels to get some weather updates, is encased in ice with power outages, closed schools, etc. We're usually the ones with the weather.

Oh, the hysteria! Forecast was for 3-6 inches of snow. Everyone lost their minds. PA issued a commercial vehicle ban on the interstates yesterday and NJ did today based on the forecast. Schools closed. It was supposed to start at 6am and go until tonight. Don't go to work, you'll be able to get their but you may not get home said the talking heads all over the news. I've been in the office since 6:45. It's been very light flurries but NADA, Nothing, Zilch, Zero accumulation.

By the way, I'm laughing looking at the preview post and noticing that none of the double spaces after the period stay that way. My peeps will know what I'm talking about
