Saw the super mario movie last night with the kids. If you really like nintendo nostalgia then 7.5 out of 10 otherwise rotten tomatoes has it right.

^ Finished and liked it. Not a big Kevin Hart fan but thought this was funny. I recommend it.

Also watched The Forgotten.

Julianne Moore is a mom who "lost" her kid. She had a son who died in a supposed plane crash, but more and more through the movie, it is apparent that, that didn't happen. The kid and other kids were abducted by aliens. Dominic West is another parent who "lost" there kid in the same abduction way.

The aliens unexpectedly suck people through houses into the sky via a unique movie way that hasn't really been shown in a movie.

It's not bad, though I always struggle with Moore. Seen worse, worth a watch.

AVATAR TWOW

It's a James Cameron epic, fantasy, special effects extravaganza! What's NOT to like!

Shit writing, bland story, CGI overload?

EDIT: 30 mins longer that it needed to be for no real reason.

I thought that the first Avatar was just alright but ppl were having orgasms lol over it, much like John Wick. I'll still see the sequels but meh.

Idk I like John Wick as it is the only original movie I feel that has been made since 2010.

Everything else that might still be good is mostly copy/paste HD remakes or something very old, reboots, and switching media (i.e. started on a comic now its a movie or started on a video game now its a movie)

John Wick definitely has inspiration from movies throughout, but it is original in my book.

I dunno, how many times have we seen the hero-left-for-dead-and-comes-back-to-kick-x? To me it's alright but nothing original about it.

What's with the sound in every new movie and TV show? This sort of loud, rushing boom....booom...... been relentless now for about 5 or so years.

Rufus Sewell. He was in the Man in the High Castle which I quite liked. I'll let you know if this is any good. Like I said, I'm running out of things to watch.

It's not bad (Scott wrote the screenplay) but it felt incomplete to me, I wanted more.
