That's one way to put it. They seemed to quit after that 2nd Pens goal.
Pathetic showing on Home ice. Embarrassing.

One positive, Nolan Patrick looks like the real deal. Probably was the only Flyers player with actual chances to score a goal.

Nashville and Pittsburgh can't close it out at home...both giving up goals late in the 3rd.

I watched half of the Avs v. Predators game. Great game, wasn't sure about that goal off of Bonino's foot. Waived off as his foot seemed to move. Then it was overturned and a goal given. Anyone see it?

Can't win at home but can win in hostile territory with the worst possible lineup. Dale Weise, Jori Lehtera & Valteri Filppula all playing and we win.
I don't get this team.

Devils put up a nice fight, and Schneider made some unbelievable saves. But NJ was definitely outclassed, I expect to see Tampa Bay in the conference finals.

Meanwhile, my beloved Capitals took another 7 years off of my life expectancy in the span of 72 minutes. Thanks?

I surprised Tampa didn't sweep--I expect to see them in the Stanley Cup Finals.

Was picking the final to be Nashville vs Tampa but am having second thoughts on the Preds--going many games in these early rounds leads to low fuel in the tank at the finish line.

Pens just won their 9th consecutive playoff series. That's 8 more than anyone else.

Here's to hoping for 2 more overtime games between Washington and Columbus! Just keep beating the shit out of each other....

Watched the second half of that game--pretty sloppy, especially on the Flyers. But lots of scoring is entertaining.

Blah blah. Coots was on a torn MCL and Provy was playing with 1 arm.
Yeah, Flyers got outplayed and outgunned. Too many giveaways and horrendous goalie play.
With a competent goalie and some other NHL caliber defense, the Flyers easily get to a game 7. Just need the dumb ass coach to actually play the skilled prospects rather than sit them in the press box....

The future is pretty bright for the Flyers. Just gotta wait out the rest of the prospects.

Yea, I give Coots and Provy a ton of credit. Coots basically picked the whole team up on his back and tried to one leg them to the finish line.

Honestly though, the team frustrates the shit out of me. Both Hextall and Hak holding the youth movement back. Weiss, Gudas, and Manning should not have dressed this year. The fact that Sanheim was in the press box, Morin was on the Phantoms and Lindblom didn't sniff the NHL until the season was almost over is inexcusable. I'm sure it will be 3 years before we see Hart get a shot.

Flyers used to be my favorite of the four Philly teams, but I wrote them off this year after training camp when they sent the kids down. The Sixers are the polar opposite of this team, young, fun, fast and fearless. I was never a big basketball fan, but I've started loving me some 10, 9, 8 76ers.

Leafs fighting for their playoff lives tonight...Hopefully they can force the Bruins to a winner-takes-all seventh game on Wednesday.

Go Leafs Go!

See, here's where you're wrong. Gudas played great...matter of fact, Pens gave him MVP for the series.

CBJ too - don't forget them. Need tonight to go to OT, CBJ winning...then go to Washington, maybe 3 or 4 OT's. Don't care who wins, long as they beat the shit out of each other and are too tired for the next round.

Thanks how we roll here in PIT

Sad day for the Jackets. Tough to blow that lead...also a tough series loss to the Capitals. I wish they'd fire Torts and replace Babcock with him, but that's unlikely.

Leafs vs Boston game 7 baby!

The boys got outplayed big time in the second, but they capitalized and held down the fort when they needed to. They outplayed Boston game four, but didn't get the W, so I guess this is a little karma for that. Either way, I'm excited to see another game in this great series!

I wanted CBJ to rake it to 7. Welp, Washington it is. Played them in 91, 92, 09, 16, and 17. just sayin...

I can't stand Douchebag...I mean Marchand...more that I've disliked any in the game. Would love to see the Leafs pull this off.

You and me both man. I have no idea what is going on. So many questions!
Is Hak just out of his damn mind? Did Hexy give him too much leash? Is Hexy in on this too? Why would anyone think Brandon Manning is a good defenseman? Why would you play Dale Weise in elimination games in the postseason when he didn't play all season long?

Morin needs a spot on the Flyers blueline next year without a doubt. Maybe Phil Myers too. And for God's sake, either Sandstrom or Hart better be here backing up Elliott. I'm tired of waiting for goalie saviors who are 2-3 years away. Not to mention Veccionne & Voroybev should be ready to come up too.

This is a big off-season. Lots of holes to address/moves to make. We'll see what Hexy does to turn this team into a real contender rather than a bubble team.

How much did the Pens pay him for that performance in Game 6? How many Primanti sandwiches did you have to promise him?
Shame there wasn't a skilled young puck moving defenseman sitting around doing nothing who could have replaced him. Oh wait!

Go Caps Go! Maybe this year is the year they get past the Pens.

Here's my post from RMNB from a couple of days ago, the topic was Game 6. I am a lifelong Caps fan BTW:

"I don't even think it matters at this point. Even if they do get past Columbus, you're talking about taking a weaker roster than you had last year led by the same failed coach and pitting it against the same Penguins that they couldn't get past for two years in a row. It should be painfully obvious to everyone by now that the enjoyment in watching the Ovechkin-era Capitals is strictly limited to the regular season. Enjoy October through March, then do yourself a favor and start watching something else. It's a lot less aggrevating."

There's still hockey on? The sun is out, there's new grass on the field. I'm sure many of the Kings are attending Dodger/Angel baseball games
