Spaced further apart and I think it has 1 lamel less.
So maybe less downforce and better suitable to guide turbulent air where the Ferrari and MERC lamels convert the air to more laminair flow?
Maybe less is more and the reason the RB car has the least porpoising?
The lamel air guides on the MERC look the largest and most aggressive.

Of course it's a combination of front wing, aero from the wishbones and the floor, and the sidepods on top; they all work together.

People on f1technical say it's also the insane detail on the RB floor that helps prevent air flow from stalling, i.e. the indents, curves etc. Instead of it being so flat like the Ferrari and Merc floor.

Yes that's very different. Also the basic lowered mid section (where the wooden board sits) is completely different; not the more or less oval shape the ferrari and merc have.

Very interesting to see those differences.

Yeah they were talking about that too. Not sure what to make of it since we don't have any flow data.


B Sport (worked for Audi motorsports, and then racing point/force India for a few years as an aerodynamacist) on YouTube should be making an analysis on it soon.

No mods - stock 2021 rear wheel drive R8 with a cat-back exhaust

Only track brake pads (Hawk DTC60 front/rear). I use the same tires on the street .
