Wakanda Forever 4.5/5
Absolutely powerful acting from Angela Bassett. Her Oscar nomination for this role is well deserved and also says a lot about Marvel's writing. Story was solid. Great fantasy action as usual from Marvel which is what I enjoy. Tying in Namor with Ancient Aztec was brilliant. My only knock for half a point, I would have preferred to see Michael B Jordan aka Killmonger as the next Black Panther. |

That was a good film, not many ppl noticed it, it didn't even make cult status.

I guess she's polarizing but I always liked her.

I couldn’t make Disney show words for WF. Many of the accents were just too much for me to understand. Kept falling asleep during lulls in action. Finally gave up and went to sleep. Wife watched the whole thing
I know when I tried to watch bootlegs they all had subtitles available

Started “The Banshees of Inisherin,” starring Colin Farrell and Brendon Gleason. Hoping it’s good. Think it will be. Watched them together in “In Bruges.” Loved it.

^ Don’t watch this. It’s a sad, unhappy movie. The only positive is the beautiful scenery, but there is no point in a sad, for the sake of sad, movie. There is no redeeming value here.

Ouch, tx for the warning. I thought In Bruges was just alright so I guess I was 'right' in not being at all enthusiastic about watching this one.

Saw Avatar: The Way of Water last week in IMAX 3D. Really enjoyed it. The 3D was the best of any film I’ve ever seen. It was crisp and clear.

Just watched "Arrival" again last night with the Minister of War & Finance and our math-major niece.
Excellent movie. Well worth the time, but you *really* have to pay attention. It's "sort-of" sci-fi-- but in that "it's more of a backdrop" sort of way. R.
