Didn't get that one duty free...bought at a place called Bottles in Willemstad, Curaçao. He had three variants of this...the Panama 12 - which I already have a bottle of on my bar (though mine is a single cask- black label, aged in an Arran Whiskey cask), he also had a Fiji, and a Peru. Cost wise - reasonable. The Panama and Fiji were 119,00 ANG - which equates to about $66 USD. The Peru was a tad higher at 129 ANG - Which is about $72 US.

I'm taking a gander that the higher price means better or more rare...but actually never seen the Fiji or Peru before. I would have gotten both, but was getting concerned about luggage space...and the Havana's had priority.

Panama is a bold flavor - not sweet like the XO, but by no means harsh. I'll need to compare and report back on the Peru and the Havana Seleccion...as I've never had either yet.

Their word on these...

I'm more of an equal opportunity employer. Except gin...I'd rather eat a fucking pine cone than drink that shit. Not stating if there are or are not favorites in the office though.

Binny's had Jameson on sale today for $17.99, so I grabbed a couple of them. I think the limit was 5, but didn't bother asking.

Oh I am equal opportunity as well! I just happen to have a huge love for rums. BTW, if that sake bottle has been open for longer than a week its not really any good any more. Might be able to stretch it to 2 weeks if it was in the fridge! (Black & Gold) I love that stuff

Appreciate the heads up, was not aware at all...I don't think that one is opened, but will check.

Typically use them for Miso paste marinates on fish...but haven't had in a while.

For a cheaper sake that one is real good...one of my favs. They are just fragile once they are opened. LOL

Ended up going to a neighbors with the bottle and some cigars.

So it was IMO just okay. A tad too much heat for my liking. But they enjoyed it quite a bit. Damn near finished the bottle. So I left it there. Granted, I'm not a "bourbon guy". My preference and go to is Rum or Cognac.
Although there are a couple of Bourbons that I want to add to my bar and try:

Milam & Greene Distillery Edition
Thomas S Moore Port Cask

Back in June, I shot promo images of a new product and I just poured a few fingers of it to enjoy. I will attach one of the images from that day below.

Thumbs up

A rare Tuesday evening of consumption.
This has to be one of the best glasses of Scotch I have ever had. Absolutely DELICIOUS. Bear in mind, Scotch, Whiskey, Bourbon are NOT my favorite.
Rum and Cognac are. I guess then it's no wonder why I find this so tasty. It is finished in Cognac Casks. 🥃
