First car was a 1998 Honda Civic LX sedan. Dark green with a beige interior and lolomatic. Slow as balls but actually handled really, really well due to its low weight and quality suspension setup. It was a fun car and I miss it.
After that I bought a brand new 2005 Mazda3 sedan which was oft described as the BMW of the compact segment. After that was my first BMW, a 2005 325i (E46). Didn't drive significantly different than the Mazda other than being RWD, so I guess they did a pretty good job afterall. After that I was hooked, but now with the numb steering and softer handling in modern BMWs I'm less hooked than I used to be. Still sorta hooked though

My very first car was a 2010 VW Passat.
It was a nice, decent car BUT as soon as I got back of the wheel of my most beloved 1 series, I immediately got hooked up on BMW. BMW doesn't keep saying their slogan 'Sheer Driving Pleasure' for nothing or just for advertisement. They really mean and deserve it. There is a lot after that motto. In my opinion, BMW is THE CAR; meaning that it provides the best driving dynamics with great pleasure; and a wonderful infotainment system. |

1987 Honda Civic (paid $500 for this car. Sold it for $500 to some guy I met at a gas station).
*1991 Honda Civic Si (this former car audio competitor still sits in my garage) 1993 Honda Civic Si (also a car audio show car, and my first new car ever) 1995 Toyota 4Runner (one of the slowest, worst driving experiences ever) *2002 Lexus IS300 Sportcross (I still have this one, a testament to the reliability of Lexus. I almost bought an Audi A4 Avant here, as I was completely turned off by SUV's after the 4Runner) 2003 BMW X5 (God rest her soul, this is by far my favorite vehicle of all time, but imploded when I hit 100K miles. Literally stranded me every 4 months. I kept pumping money into it because I loved it so much) 2007 Audi Q7 (drove like a fat pig. I was completely underwhelmed by Audi) *2014 BMW 328i GT (everything I've ever wanted in a car) *current line up In the last 10 years I've actually had 6 other cars that were provided by my former fleet managers for work. Fleet grade American and Japanese vehicles that had no identity or soul. I feel bad for people that pay money to drive the cars I was provided to for free. 2003 Ford Taurus (it's a Taurus) 2004 Chevy Impala (Felt like I was driving a car from the 90's) 2005 Dodge Magnum (my favorite fleet vehicle...it actually felt like a real car) 2005 Pontiac Grand Am (Felt like I was driving a car from the 80's) 2007 Pontiac G6 (all the door locks were broken and the window seals leaked...by 30K miles) 2011 Nissan Altima (a quality vehicle that I would never buy, but respect as a mode of transportation) |

Started off with a red 1987 Honda Accord hatchback which I drove until I needed a master cylinder. Traded that in on a red 1998 Acura Integra which was so good it never wanted to break down. I drove it for 13 years with no problems and sold it thinking I was going to buy a red C7 Stingray Corvette; until I saw a black 428i. Now I drive a red 428i with red interior!

I was a GM guy. Camaro, GTO, a couple 6.2 trucks I modded too. Never got to move into a Corvette though because of the lack of usefulness of one.
