At least you're allowed to go for a ride. We're required to stay within our community right now. I'm not supposed to even cross the bridges unless it's for work. Ten people were fined in the past couple of days, six for not properly distancing and four for being outside their community without a reason. They were all fined $2422. I don't need that kind of expense in my life so I'll stay put. It's a good excuse to finally spray paint the drop ceiling in the home theatre.

Feel free to come south a few hundred km if the border is open. We're sunny and 30+ for both Saturday and Sunday here.

For those south of the border who measure things in terms of a long-dead king's shoe size, it's in the low 90's (20 degrees above normal) and farging ice-hole bastages hot.....

Little League was a blast when my son was young. I was the manager of his team for a few years. Some of the best times we ever had together.

I did that several times as it was required in our league that each team had to be responsible for having someone qualified to umpire a certain number of games. I was trained by our league to do that. I enjoyed it but the parents can be a PITA.

PS - when I say "trained" I mean I attended umpire clinics because that's what the league required. That was more than 20 years ago and requirements are probably different now.
