No problem here. More likely the large amount of data being transferred stressed the disk to failure.

Just to add I installed and run it 4 days ago, all worked fine, I then wiped the HDD on another machine and installed it on that and no issues from a running point or hdd bricking.

Again thankful to his work, I’m still learning though.

Am I too late for this party? I’m just learning about all the coding and diag software and really need to figure out some issues I’m having with my 2007 335Xi.

I'm struggling with installing ISTA-D 4.17.41 (perfect for E + F series). I can't find any instructions in the folder so i followed a few other sets I found online and havent been able to get it to run. When i run istagui the loading wheel spins for a moment and then nothing happens. Can someone point me to instructions that would work?

There are a lot of possible reasons. I had issues with the .net files. A few that were needed were already installed, so I only installed the missing ones - but there was some issue with the ones that were already installed - which I only found out after uninstalling & reinstalling all of them (after a lot of other trial & error).

It was nice to have all the available software when it was needed. If I had known I would have downloaded everything. I'm was looking at updating my nav but is gonna have to wait.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging

For example:

</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

I can read vin but as soon as i try to change or if i try ZUSB i get the 'COAPILib32v4.0 error.

any help would be great. a google search on this error turned up nothing.
