Just to be clear, if you think I am some super great trader making millions and millions then I would be a fraud!...I am just a regular Joe who has a crystal ball I rub every night to give me guidance, no more no less... Only the people who have followed this thread for 3+ years know the true value of this thread and my thoughts within it...to most I am just another grandiose narcissist MB poster selling snake oil, which I cannot deny really...but I do get it right sometimes no?... |

^^ same here, you've saved my butt on multiple occasions. Including today. But I do have some longer term stuff I'm not sure if I'll let go of even through tough seas (dividend stocks).
Thanks mact |

Mact....
See link below. I thin you and SLM come with the same calls (albeit with different tools). You think we will see a dead cat bounce tomorrow or more bloodshed? |

Think selling pressure eases abit but very short term...wouldnt be excited to take long positions. Now I did take a small SPY call position while down huge today for sport cause I saw an indicator that usually mass short term bottoms...up huge on this position already......will be selling it tomorrow though. When I rub crystal ball it says "sell sell sell " like the Duke brothers from Trading Places........seriously, I see no indication for taking long positions for longer timeframe as of right now. |

Mact..sorry no link
http://tos.mx/JkcYZP (click on the chart) SLM is Steve Miller from Tasty Trade (www.tastytrade.com). Ever since 2008, I tried to learn how to protect myself from free fall situations. Eventually, I found myself on this site. This is where I am learning the most (and this forum). I would like to hear what you think of SLM's call. He's calling retracement on the SPX to 1896-1920 and then after that, it could be another ride. Last edited by slamako; 10-15-2014 at 08:25 PM.. |

The past few weeks have been great. A lot of de-risking and sector rotation. Huge buying opportunities. Nobody who does this for a living is trying to a call a top or a bottom. Get in while it is cheap, maybe lose a little in the beginning, but make it big on the upside. This morning we saw a lot of heavy selling, then it completely switched around 1-1:30PM to opportunistic buying in certain sectors. Nobody is afraid except for risk management and compliance people. When your risk guy taps you on your shoulder and says it is time to shake a few positions off you do so to get him off your back. Its the best time to hunt for deals. |

I'm looking at a weekly chart of EBAY and what I see is a perfect head and shoulders....from a technical analysis...i think it's got more to drop.
It also blew by it's support at ~48.00. |
