Sad - not to be able to drink it. Probably my staple. The other being rum...

So, in the rum game, what's your pick for that? My favorites are Don Q Crystal and Gold...outside of that, probably have every Captain Morgan there is

I don't think I have a single bottle of scotch on the bar. I wouldn't even know what to try (or even if I like it).

I would argue that from your collection, the Belvedere is numero uno from the higher end stuff and tito's from the average...

TXSTYLE got me hooked on Plantation rum. Really good stuff.

Tried this last night and didn't care for it over my go-to vodka, Stoli. Simple olive martini, shaken with 4-5 drops of dry vermouth.

Headed to Japan today and will be bringing back some Hibiki, which a couple have panned here, but I think it is wonderful.

Hibiki is getting tough to find in my neck o the woods. I bought the last bottle I saw and gave to my BILIL. It's there when I go over on Sundays to watch (sleep thru) GoT.

Picked up some Plantation Rum and opted for a bottle of Balvenie 14 Caribbean Cask. The rum is on tap for tonight.

Had this last night. Amazing is an understatement!

Margarita swirled with Sangria and topped off with Grand Marnier

He gets a pass, though. I'm thoroughly enjoying some Plantation rum tonight that I never would have known about if it weren't for his advice.

Just the opposite. My nephew brought a bunch home from his wedding in South America Without TXSTYLE advice I probably would have stuck with the Porto

Ah, so he ruined you for life. I was wondering what had gone wrong. 'Tis a sad thing.

As much as I like the rum, I'm still first and foremost a Scotch devotee. Shame really, because the Scotch is pricier.

Dude, just yanking your chain. Nothing better than a cool Marg while downing some Cocktel de camarones on a Friday night with my wife.

Or a Thursday if its been a difficult week

Or Wednesday, if my son won his game

Sometimes on Saturday, if the niece is around to drive us

Margaritas are the shit. I drank enough of them this weekend to kill a small Mexican Army.

And last night we were out of margarita mix but since the Father-in-Law works for Budweiser, we had a case of Lime-a-ritas to finish us off. 2oz of tequila + 1 can of lime-a-rita = hangover from hell.

Way back when I did an internship at Johnson Space Center. The NASA folks were some serious party hounds. Since everything at NASA needs an acronym, they called it LDEF. (Let's Do-it Every Friday). Their parties always consisted of margaritas. At one of the first I went to they ran out of ice and mix, so they started throwing popsicles in the blender. Actually worked pretty well while they lasted.

Gave a boy scout effort to find this....my state store didn't have.

Bought a bottle of Gentleman Jack and walked out. I'll try a larger store in a couple weeks.

I've probably tossed about 400 in spirits this month...wife's ready to have my arse.

Do NOT give up your search my friend. Be vigilant. You'll be glad you did.

But I do understand that with spirits, certain regions simply may not have or carry it due to lack of popularity.

For other fantastic options try:

Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva and Zaya or Ron Zacapa
