1/1.5 year... I would cancel the car. If less than 6 month, I would take the order.

As patriotic as I am, it's times like these that make me glad I didn't join the Reserves. I support you and our troops 100% in spirt and prayer, though I am more ambivalent about the war itself, our long-range objectives there, and the global perception of America as a bullish empire.

I would cancel the car. No point having it depreciate in your driveway.

Oh, and If I were in your shoes, I'd show up in a dress or confess to being a homosexual.

I'd rather sit in a jail cell or surrender my citizenship than participate in that criminal war.

Either way, you're not going to drive it for a long time.

Cancel the car, when you come back the models will definitely have received some more "updates" thus will be a better car.

You have my support and salute though this war is wrong, stay safe out there.

I would cancel the order then get the car you want through the military sales program just before you leave Iraq. That is what I did. You will have a new car waiting for you when you get home. You can get the car for the ED price without taking the trip overseas to pick it up...pretty good deal. Let me know if you need more info.

Definitely wait. You may want to hop into an E90 coupe or better options will be available for the sedan. Who knows, by that time a facelift may be on it's way out.

I wouldn't let the car depreciate while you can't drive it. Also being that when you get back it won't be a first year car you will probably be much better off.

Cancel the order, put that money in a CD "Certificate of deposit" account at a credit union with high rates and earn some interest on that MONEY! your money will be work'n for you while you're gone and you can get a 335i instead! 60-95 more HP sounds good to me. Good luck over there man!

Stay safe and work toward the time when you will have a new appreciation for many of the things we take for granted. Keep close with your buddies, and get a routine where you can take the time to really relax, at least in your head. Keep checking E90post, and looking forward to that ED of your M3. You deserve it.

Flame me if you like, but I don't know where the positive sentiment this thread is getting from. Iraq is the most dangerous place to be in right now. Don't "salute" or "praise" him for going to an unjustified war. US (people) didn't start the war, Bush did. Ricechen is not serving the country, he is serving Bush's peronal revenge on Saddam, period.

God ricechen.

If you purchased via military sales they should be able to take the car and sell it. Better to wait till you get back and get an updated model if it's possible. Speak with Mathias Hemmer at Pentagon Military Sales in Kaiserslautern, Germany. (011-49-631-351-9036)
mathias.hemmer@pentagonmilitarysales.com Fax a copy of your orders and he will keep you in the loop with the latest until you are ready to buy again. You save approx 10% of MSRP via military sales. Stay safe and God Speed. Warren Barreto, Capt, USAF

Obviously, this board is not for the purpose of political debate, but I feel I must response to your comments. You have the right to voice your view, and I very much respect yours.

Bush is our elected President, the Commander in Chief. Like many Americans, I am 100% behind him until the day he leaves the Office. I may not 100% agree with him at all time, but I will not abandon him in the midst of the war. United we stand.

If anyone has a better way to run this Country and balance the power among nations, please stand up and run for the Office. Freedom is not FREE. I salute our Troops because without them we may not have the “environment” for us to make money to buy our toys and to live lavishly.
