A few months back, when I was at the 'Ring... they were playing the Sena film! What a place to see this film!! I would really like to see this film in IMAX or on a large silver screen. You guys are lucky to be able to see this film on the big screen.

How long is it in the theatres?
I think it's like 100 min. The BluRay rip I have is 3.5 hours long and I still watched the whole thing. I would definitely like to see it at cinema length because 3.5 was long, even for me.

Looks like www.Amazon.de (Germany) will start to sell the Senna dvd on Sept 15th.

http://www.amazon.de/Senna-Genie-Dra...3855078&sr=8-2

I do not have a blue ray dvd player but I do have a code free dvd player - so I could order one from Amazon.de

Does anyone know if ALL blue ray dvds also come with a standard dvd inside? I have heard that most blue ray dvds you just flip them over (the disc) to play in a regular dvd player. ???

Saw Senna tonight. It was a great, great piece of film. If you've ever driven fast in your life, it's a must see. Very passionate, thought provoking and sensitive. The race footage and behind the scenes stuff is amazing.

Saw SENNA today (theater version 90-minutes). It’s an interesting character study. Obviously it portrays him in a very heroic way. Although I truly enjoyed watching it, I thought that much of the negative treatment of Alain Prost and Jean-Marie Balestre was somewhat biased. The scene with Jacky Stuart (someone who has done more for improving F1 safety than anyone else in history) was somewhat insulting and arrogant on Senna’s part (IMHO). The film also portrayed Ayrton Senna as initially very naive in regard to F1 politics, which, in fact he certainly was not.

Would have liked to see even more race coverage in place of the many shots of Ayrton riding on small pleasure boats, although I can understand why they were included.

I was relieved to find that the film treated Senna’s unfortunate death with great respect and completely shunned any sensationalism.

As a hard-core F1 fan, I’d give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Except the fact that the 'safety' you're talking about came too-little-too-late for Senna, who was canvassing for change MUCH earlier. He unnecessarily paid the ultimate price for the betterment of this sport. I'm not so quick to blow wind up the skirt of guys like Balestre and Briatore like so many others are. (Hell, even F. Williams... Where'd the black box go from Senna's car? Oh yeah, he tucked it under his wheelchair and booked it). They are/were the dark players and don't deserve adulation. (IMHO)

Saw it at the theater at the opening here last night.

Simply fantastic on the big screen. The only part of the 'shorter' version I wish they hadn't cut was the post race interview of San Marino where MSC cried.

Ending made me cry, one of only like 5 films to ever do so. (Even after I had already seen it once.)

As someone who just got into F1 this sesason, I cannot talk about how the other side of things (with the other drivers and the president), but I thought the movie was fantastic. they did a very good job showing his life in just a few short minutes.
