How much can you get one now? I'm thinking of picking one up soon. Since you've owned a few in your life time I would appreciate your input. You can just PM me if you'd like.

Thanks

I owned a 2001 B5 S4 for a while, and here is what I got out of it:

Very Tuneable, but be careful when purchasing. CV Joints and boots are commonly bad. The stock turbos are frequently problematic past 70K or so on a stock car, sooner than that if tuned. The BPV (Bypass Valve on the turbos) leaks boost on most of them. The ball joints on the suspension also go bad, and replacement arms can get expensive. The brakes are useless on the track, but fine otherwise. The car also understeers when driven hard like a 1978 Caddy unless you work on the suspension.

This is a great car for a garage mechanic that doesn't mind working on it themselves and looking for discount parts, but a disaster if you are taking it to the dealer, as it is expensive as hell to have them work on.

Neat car, but not for the casual owner.

I hope this helps!!
