But the actual test results across brands show the cc2 ranking in the top half of the "true winter tires" on the market in snow driving.

The thing people REALLY get wrong is that a snow tire is only best at driving ON SNOW. You lose critical performance, especially in braking, on any dry surface of any temperature. So unless you live on a dirt road in the far north of America there is really no rational reason to run a snow tire compared to what else is available thse days.

Both weatheractive and cc2 putting up the best all around performance numbers, and good tread wear, and good rolling resistance.

It does look like cc2 is more of a winter compund than all season and is compromised like most all seasons for 4 seasons. There are also perf winter tires that work very well in dry and cold but also when weather changes quickly like freezing rain.

Doesn't look like the winner of that video test above, the Cinturato All Season SF3 is available in the US (at least I don't see it on TireRack)

As I mentioned above, I called around. Sf3 not available in the US with no known planned release.

You can get the cinturato weatheractive, which has a different tread design and compound.

Tire Mileage Ratings in Arizona, or Elsewhere

While shopping for tires you've likely noted not many give a mileage estimate. The climate and the high performance nature of bimmer driving doesn't help. I have nearly nine years on two bimmers we own (both 2015) and we have tried every manufacturers size appropriate models. They're all similar, but you may like the look and feel of one better than the other. Initially I was unenthusiastic about the RF offering, but have adapted concluding that it's a plus with cars your spouses or children drive. The mileage will be about 20K on all if you're lucky. Enjoy!
