Canada got the manual option as well. Had a F10 M5 sitting in the showroom for a long time and it finally sold to a first year university student...from China.

Another manual only car; Hyundai Veloster N Emissions/Economy standards are another big reason. Economy mode on modern electronically controlled slushboxes yields MPG numbers which simply cannot be replicated repeatedly with a manual. These days driver seem more interested in technology than they do driving. Even young people. The manual will always have core demand. Just like Vinyl records maintained core demand during its downfall—-and now look at Vinyl sales are booming. Latest is not greatest. Manual forever!
