Porsche has an underrated ability to improve their cars year after year.

If you watch their videos on how the 911 is built, it is their philosophy to keep on perfecting an already perfect model. The 911 will never change, and those few who are there to fully experience the 911 line up, will understand why.

You guys, that is the whole pont of the 911 design. It is and always will be an evolutionary process. Not revolutionary. If you look at the history some of the changes were macro-evolutionary some not so much. This just happens to be a micro-evolutionary jump. It doesn't fall prey to sometimes trendy goofy designs like other cars.

Evolution my @ss.

The MB jeep is old tech and they laugh as each one gets sold. $20k to build, $100k MSRP.

Porsche better get their head out of their ass before they go under. Before long most countries won't allow cars in that don't meet CAFE and emission standards.

is it me or does that interior look even more messy than the last? there are so many angles and lines. completely different from the exterior that has nothing but smooth curves everywhere and no creases. except now they added a little kink to the rear taillights, so dumb. change just for the sake of change?

i applaud the 7sp PDK and DI. base carrera now at 345hp. but ill still take a cayman/s and use the difference to make it look nice.

It's funny some people are saying Porche has to break out of there 911 mold and do something entirely different and when they do they say WTF? Personally I don't like SUV's(Cayenne), so I welcome the Panamera. I wouldn't mind one.

Panamera is too little too late. They dreamed it up almost 5 years ago. And still nothing.

With a nice M5, what is the Panamera for? Hauling midgets to the theatre?

Thats funny, of course I love the M5 with it's sweet V10, but the Panamera looks nicer than the 5 series line(including the M5). JMO. The Panamera is for the person who wants a sedan with 4 real seats, but doesn't like the Cayenne I guess.

hahah +1

The G wagon is a joke.......or let me rephrase that, the G wagon is one of the biggest jokes to date at the cost it is sold for. If the G was sold for maybe 40k, then whatever...... but 100k for a fucking low tech and ugly jeep with NOTHING to argue as far as advanced features, handling, or shit else goes? I think not.

G wagon = one the biggest rip offs and the idiots who buy them are even funnier.

go put that 100k towards something useful, like a C63, M3, M5, M6, S5, RS4, RS6, CL550, or whatever else for that price.

The people that can afford a 911 but don't buy them because they are two door vice 4 are far and few between.

It is like making a Ferarri wagon.

I don't see old people wantiong to bend over and sit close to the ground. I don't see younger folks needing a 4 door 911. This will be a blunder.

Fully agree. Very minor changes between each generation. I love all 911's, none of them look outdated..just classics.

I originally had my name down for one until I learned how much Porsche would be expecting to sell it for............£55K for the 3.6v6.

It maybe a Porsche but there's only so much one can charge for a name and get away with it.

That's how older BMW's were as well. The 2001 X5 in my family is forward to upshift and backward to downshift, the opposite of my e92.

The current 911 is really a timeless design. It's smooth and flowing yet modern at the same time.

I mostly agree with you, but they need to stop purposely crippling the superior MR layout Cayman with smaller engines than the inferior but classic RR layout 911.

Didn't the article say it gets 24 mpg on the combined cycle? Not sure what that converts to but it seems pretty good to me.
