We don't want roads, we want more F-35s.

That's the whole issue in CA, they're constantly under construction and then usually twice as bad after the construction is "finished".

I agree with a previous poster who said "I think the road construction business is corrupt as fuck"

The roads over here are built and maintained by HUGE levels of taxation. The fuel tax is insane in Germany... for every euro you pay at the pump... something like 0.75 cents goes to pay for the taxes!! A US gallon of premium gasoline costs about $6.50, based on today's exchange rates(1 euro buys $1.14, a liter of SuperPlus is ~1.50 euros). In past summers the highest a liter of SuperPlus was close to 2 euros!! IF you own a diesel car... the government considers that you have a tax advantage... so they charge you double or triple the road tax of a gas car to register it every year. Most people pay around 300 to 1,500 euros in order to register your car each year. Then oil is also taxed... a liter of oil can cost close to 40 euros in some stores. Cheapest price I've seen is 8 euros for a liter. It goes on and on.

Thats why capitalism is flawed. Industry leaders are always up to something shady and have no moral incentive to outway their gluttonous hunger

Undocumented workers often use someone else's social security number to find and sign up for work. They pay taxes on their salaries like other people do. The thing is, they can't get a tax return on it because they aren't legal residents so they end up paying more than legal residents without getting any of the benefits.

But that said, my town is pretty good with fixing roads. They've been doing some major renovations here. There are also 2 apps, 1 for Boston area and another for the rest of Mass, there you can report issues as well as potholes. Last time I reported, they got fixed good within 2 month near my home.

Another interesting thing is that by law state is not responsible for any road hazards unless there is a personal injury involved. When I damaged 2 of my wheels and tires on highway going 65, they said it's automatically my fault, insurance gave me points, I had to go to court and pay the hearing fee to government that actually caused my damages

The undocumented have their social security and withholding payments made to social security numbers which is not theirs. And they move on to a new stolen SSAN every year. The Feds can calculate the amounts from that and the complaints of the identity theft victims.

Here's Highway 50 that I mentioned in my previous post. This was on the way to work this morning. That's not fog/mist you see in the air(clear day out btw), that's all the dirt/debri from the construction they are doing(they are not working right now either, that's just being kicked up by cars driving).

Glad I'm not driving my car at the moment but will be again in a few days... smh
