Thanks for these awesome and insightful threads 954stealth! I'm hoping Rossi can bounce back from the bad tire choice last race and at lease battle MM for a few laps before he walks away with it again. Pedrosa's appears to be healthy now too and let's hope he stays aggressive to keep things entertaining at the front.
I can't believe Lorenzo is struggling so bad and for so long, who would've ever thought the once unflappable Lorenzo can mentally defeated by the 21 year old phenom. It looks like he's already given up and don't seem like he even wants to be out there, it's sad. |

Lorenzo doesn't do well when he's not winning. He really let's it all get in his head. Wet tracks, his team mate and this young kid he can't beat seem to all be defeating him even before the races begin |

Marquez fell in free practice! Apparently he is having some neck pains. Will this be a factor in this weekend's race??
Meanwhile Aleix Espargaro sets fastest lap time Lorenzo, suprisingly (maybe just to me**) set the second fastest time. Free Practice 1: 1. Aleix Espargaro 2. Jorge Lorenzo 3. Valentino Rossi 4. Pol Espargaro 5. Alvaro Bautista 6. Marc Marquez 7. Stefan Bradl 8. Dani Pedrosa 9. Andrea Iannone 10. Yonny Hernandez 11. Andrea Dovizioso 12. Bradley Smith 13. Cal Crutchlow 14. Nicky Hayden 15. Scott Redding 16. Hector Barbera 17. Karel Abraham 18. Colin Edwards 19. Hiroshi Aoyama 20. Michael Laverty 21. Mike Di Meglio 22. Broc Parkes 23. Danilo Petrucci ** Surprising because he crashed at this track last year. Thought it might've gotten in his head like everything else lately

Mr. 9x9 strikes again.
The rest of the field might as well do this

You know, I do do as well. I do t mind his constant P1 because the battle to get there is continually exciting and not a snoozer by any means. Lets see how far he can take it! Does anyone reading this think he'll have a perfect points season? |

I also hope he does it, he's shown us this season he can win in any race condition. It's amazing seeing him outride and out smart all the other riders race after race, he's been a joy to watch.
Having said that though, there are too many uncontrollable variables and the stars would have to align for anyone to have a perfect season. It's racing and it's impossible to avoid "racing incidents", other rider's mistakes or even mechanical failures. So far he's been very lucky not to hurt himself from the crashes he's had. Quote:
