I just installed the TLG flaps to help with all the gravel and road debris my cup 2's are shooting up. I know they aren't for everyone but I don't mind them and they give me a bit of piece of mind.

Another Dr.Beasley's endorsement
Great product - I use it on my Frozen Brilliant White G82. Makes owning a Matte vehicle sooo easy.

I had good luck with Chemical Guys products however with this specific matte paint protector they make comes blue liquid in a bottle it’s pure junk. And then they tell you to use their matte detailer spray to wipe it off and that’s worthless too. Did nothing but left chalky streaks on the paint. Driving my break in trip across Texas, Dr Beasely soap removed all of the water spots chalky residue. Nice frozen white. Did you use Dr Beasely protectorant or just detailer spray?

My car is PPF'd, but I use Adam's Mega Foam Gallon - pH Best Car Wash Soap For Foam Cannon. I have some Dr.b products also, but all my stuff is mainly Adam's.

Also, I recommend getting some mud flaps, at least for the front. I have spacers, and my ppf is getting nicked all the time on my rear fenders.

It was expensive but I got full body PPF. Still requires some care but I figured it was a no-brainer with a frozen finish.

I did my first wash with the chemical guy's matte soap and had zero issues. I've also used their detail spray a bit and flashes quick, also with no issues.

I bought the 16oz so I could try the Dr. B's stuff after and compare.

As of right now I'm happy with the chemical guys stuff for the price.

These are all post chemical guys wash pics. It's very hard to see dirt on this car from pics but I feel these pics are an accurate representation of what my car looks like in person.
This is a stunning colour when frozen

Another Dr. Beasley endorsement here. Matte body, waterless, decon, and advanced coat all atop their ceramic coating.

I only have 700 miles so far and in need of the 3rd wash due to rainy weather and dirty roads.

I foam cannon first, let it penetrate for a good 5 - 10 min before two bucket washing. Rinse with the CR spotless, blow dry, and follow up with microfiber detail for remaining drops and drips.

I do not plan to PPF and spend that $ on track time and instruction.

One thing I have asked wife and friends is to only use the handle to close the door as the small bits of road grit can collect around the door frame and scratch when scraped.

Frozen Deep Gray is stunning in a variety of lighting conditions and changes dramatically.

Dr. Beasley's by far and away the best product to use. I post pictures of mine often and people are in shock and awe about how clean it looks.

I was gonna shoot a video or what not to detail my process but..

1. Wheels get done one by one with a Speed Wheel Brush and Sonax. Spray, let it sit, scrub quickly and then power wash off each wheel.

2. Power wash surface of any easy loose debris. My power washer is very powerful so I use the white tip for painted surfaces and I keep a good 2 foot distance at least.

3. Foam cannon with Beasley's in an Adams cannon. Let that sit while I mix together a bucket of two capfuls of Beasley matte wash and 2 gallons of hot water.

4. Spray off foam to get off any other contaminants I can from just letting the soap soak in a little.

5. Foam with whats left in the foam cannon.

6. Wash with wash mitts. Grit guards in 5 gallon buckets. Also my rinse bucket with hot water and grit guards. My mitts are cleaned every wash with unscented, gentle Tide pods in HOT water. Air dried in dryer and set out to dry with my microfiber towels. If I ever question any of these pieces, I just order new stuff.

7. Power wash it clean.

8. Wet microfibers.. ring them clear of water regularly, wipe down to dry.

9. Pull car into garage out of sun and either later same day or next day I will spray Matte Final Finish all over the body. Tire dressing for the wheels. Windows get sprayed with Stoners. Interior gets done with Beasley interior/leather products. Vacuum.

I might be missing something... lol

Oh, and for those mentioning rock chips. I am NOT done in PPF.. I use a touch up kit from Scratches Happens and it works decent enough that I don't mind.

The rock chips get filled in and I let it cure for a bit then spray some Final Finish on and gently work away any excess with a microfiber. It's harder to see the rock chips because they're blue like the paint but its not "perfect".

Anyone have a solution for dust buildup? Within 2 days the entire car is covered in dust. That's with me parking in the garage during the evenings. I don't believe I ever had an issue with normal gloss paint…

The dust is there, you just may not see it as well on a gloss finish. But, you could use a blower lol.

I use Chemical Guys matte wash. I also used BMW's nano wax. Water beads like crazy.

I did also buy dr.beasly paint cleanser for unexpected stains. Haven't had to use it yet. Is this what you guys are using for stains on the paint? (bird droppings etc) providing it hasn't sat there for 4 days obviously..

Thanks for sharing. I just purchased Matte Body Wash, the Paint Coating & the Final Finish spray based on what ny2nj mentioned and will try to replicate your method of cleaning with a foam cannon and 2 bucket method and grit guards.

I am really conflicted with PPF. I order DR B products, waiting for them to come in and a gallon of the chemical guys stuff. For those of you with the rock chips, where do they usually get concentrated in this car? Front bumper, hood, fenders? I was going to just PPF half hood, full bumper and 1/2 fenders, a pillar and mirror caps. Would that do the trick for chips? The rest I want to ceramic and use the weekly DR B routine

If you're going to get some sort of PPF then at least do full bumper and hood. Half hood looks horrible imo. Obvious best is still do full car wrap with PPF then do a light level of ceramic coating then you have best of both worlds. Really easy to maintain. Just wash and matte detail spray. Saves tons of time and effort.

Here is what I use so far:

Soap: CG Meticulous Matte Auto wash - no issues so far
Detailer: CG Meticulous Matte Detailer and Spray Sealant - seems to work okay
Coating: still looking for one, looks like Dr. Beasely's Matte paint coating is the way to go?

I was going to get PPF but was concerned about the slight change in color afterwards.
