I have to stay at motels.
I once got to stay here though. Hotel wasn't that great but the view was nice. Sheraton Waikiki |

ME, The Strand, London. Might have said Tenaya Lodge, Yosemite South Gate, but that's probably not a hotel in the sense the thread means, and anyway it's at least partly a location thing.

The best hotel I ever stayed at was a Marriott in Canada with a great view of Niagara falls. Price? $150/night (back in the early 2000s). That's the best value I've ever gotten from a hotel stay.
I'm not sure how we got so lucky with the price. I'm seeing prices in the $300-$500/night range now. In general I'm too stingy to spend more than $200/night on a hotel. I think it's a colossal waste of money and I can't justify the price. |

My favorites have been the Oriental in Bangkok, Rayavadee in Railey Beach, Thailand.
In the US, the Windsor Court in New Orleans, the Langham in Chicago. |
