I would say that a person looking for value should look at a tag heuer... its a great watch for far cheaper than say a breitling.

Congrats and welcome to the Rolex club. I got my first Rolex 6 years ago on my 40th birthday from my wife and I'm still "mildly obsessed" with it

Luckily The SS Submariners are pretty much impossible to find. Otherwise, that would be on your list OP. I got my SS 36mm DateJust, a couple of years later, a SS Submariner was added to my collection.

114270 was the last of the 36mm explorers before they moved up to 39mm.
