Damn - my Knicks with the WORST pick ever!!!

This guy is a project that MAYBE 3yrs from now be a role player if he doesnt injure his ankle, knee etc.
Knicks should of went for a sure thing and picked Willie Cauley-Stein or Mudiay....

Yup, by the time this guy makes an impact Melo will be washed up. Phill Kackson and the Bulls sunk our hearts in the early 90's and Phil Jackson is doing it again 20+ years later. The gift that keeps on giving for the Knicks.

At least they were able to get a 1st rounder for Hardaway Jr. This PG Grant could be promising. So lets assume this Weiss the 2nd is a bust. We would have this PG, a healthy Melo and a top tier (I hope) free agent along with another 2nd tier free agent and a few mid level guys. This Knick team should be able to reach the 1st round at worst. Now if they would have tanked correctly they would at least have a shot at going deep in the 2nd round/Eastern Conference Finals. Overall? Unless a miracle with this #4 pick then this team is going nowhere like the last 43 years.

For the guys shitting on Porzingis right now, do you know anything about the kid?

Fact is there is no rookie at #4 that would have made that horrid roster the Knicks into anything even remotely relative. Phil saw that and took the kid with the highest possible upside. Melo can cry all he wants, he chose money over winning so this serves him right.

$40.7 million per year, for five years. That's what Lebron will make according to ESPN in 2016. That could be the reason why he went back to Cleveland. Can't blame him.

It doesn't matter who the Knicks pick in the draft. It won't matter. There a horrible organization. I guess another loosing season.

I've said this before and I'll say it again. Knicks are the same as the Cubs. A losing franchise. And the NY Jets too but thank GOD I'm a NY Football Giants fan.

Well at least the Cubs are FINALLY rebuilding the right way right now. Things are looking bright for once.

Neither.

I can't blame the guy. The Cubs screwed themselves the rest of that game and series.

It's got to burn a bit that Steve Kerr comes in and wins a championship with his first try. Granted everything worked out in his favor. Phil Jackson never developed talent before and I don't see him doing that. The Knicks had several options with the pick. He has bigger potential to flop than actually make a difference on the team. And I agree Melo will never be a leader. He'll put up the points but not the wins. The Knicks need to start over from scratch and dump Melo ASAP.

Can't possibly compare Kerr's situation to Phil's. Kerr inherited an up and coming playoff team with a very talented roster. Phil is the president of an abysmal Knicks team.

Yes Porzingis can be a bust, but with the shape of the team...he's worth the risk. The team isn't winning anything with Melo.

With GS winning the Finals, it also makes Mark Jackson look bad but I must admit I wanted the Knicks to hire him over Fisher. Porzingis has looked decent in the first two summer games and I can see the Knicks having a near 500 record to battle for the 8th seed but in this league with so many powerhouse teams the Knicks aren't going to make much noise. Lets face it, Melo, Fisher and Jackson will be long gone by the time the Knicks are relevant again.

I'll be the first to admit that Porzingis was a bad pick, however, so far I'm eating crow. This kid can ball.

I just want a championship. I've been through Charles Smith getting stuffed at the basket 47 times against the Bulls in 93, John Starks shooting 2-19 game 7 against the Rockets in 94, Ewing missed finger roll against Charlotte in 2nd round 95, losing 5 games to the Spurs in 99, the dreadrul decade in the 2000's when Isiah made that ridiculous trade for Eddie Curry for a unconditional pic, the Jerome James' of the world, Anucha Browne Sanders allegations against Isiah/Stephon. I mean I can sit here and empty out the trash with this franchise. Just give me one championship in my lifetime. ONE TIME!

Lure Durant to come over, think you'd have a shot.

Why would Durant play for that circus of a franchise?
