The Dry was surprisingly good to me. Caught it on showtime a few months ago, watched it out of curiosity, wasn't disappointed. Nobody.... hands down one of my new all time favorites! Great flick!

Is that the new one that's like over 3 hours long and has that horrible actor playing batman? I saw it the other day and thought it was horrible. It was like the gayest batman ever trying to stop some villain with some serious mass shooterish vibes and then basically failing to do so for 99% of the movie.

Seriously batmans butler looked more badass than batman.

Anyways having finally seen top gun recently that's all I can recommend. If you like those "old classics" from back in the day that were just feel good fun movies then this new top gun brings it all back.

IMO movies have been sucking for a while. When I was younger I would go to the movies so often I would just run out of movies to see. Now I can't remember the last time I went to a movie theater. Probably for one of the first "new" star wars movies. Luckily shows/series seem to have picked up the ball and ran with it.

The new Top Gun is great because it's not all CGI crap. Superhero movies effectively killed modern cinema.

It's not like the 90's when you had your choice and had diverse movies. Now you have 3 choices:

Superhero
Crappy Horror
Lame Action

90's was the apex for movies (late 80's also)

Yup. I was actually into the superhero movies when they first came out like the original spider man and iron man etc. Now it's like they are scraping the bottom of the barrel for stories. Saw one the other day on Disney that was just sooooo stupid. And yeah they are basically like watching an animated movie now because it's 100% cg everything.

Just finished. Have to admit I got a little teary eyed at the end.

Talk about a feel good movie.

Two thumbs up!

PS - plus lots of good flying action.

Agree with Captain Blood: 1917 was superb. It brought tears to my eyes, in parts. Beautifully shot and as engaging as a film gets.

The Power of the Dog.

I think 1917 was the last very good new movie I watched. The kind of film you ask your close friends and family if they've seen it yet.

I enjoyed Everything Everywhere All At Once. It's a good movie to just watch for what it is... an insane adventure comedy.

Two Jamie Foxx movies that were excellent...Project Power & Day Shift!
Day Shift was a Vampire hunting movie and was my favorite of the two. Also had Dave Franco & Snoop Dogg in it. Great fun, action and perfect for a Halloween flick

Just finished "Barbarian."

A good, creepy, suspenseful movie to watch on Halloween night.

I look on Apple’s Movies app, Netflix and other streaming services and haven’t seen anything even remotely interesting in a very long time.
