Reminds me of my Hardtail.

Regarding the fork: Looks like you now have a RockShox Judy XC with 63 or 80mm travel.

When looking for a new shock, you should consider the RockShox Reba with 80mm travel and poploc (lockout operated by a switch on the handlebar, extremly nice feature!).

This is a very smooth X-country air-suspension fork, leightweight but yet very stiff, very important for use with disc brakes. (which might have killed your pretty weak judy )

You should not exceed the 80mm travel though(Reba is also available with 100mm travel) to retain the geometry of your frameset.

Some pics of my bikes. The Cannondale is about 10 years old and I'm thinking of selling it and getting a decent hardtail since I'm getting too old for risky downhills. I usually use the cheap hardtail anyways.

The road bike has not been used since I moved from Texas 3 years ago since there are no good roads here in Georgia, too narrow and people drive crazy. I'll probably sell it for the new-hardtail-fund.

Bought it Oct. 2000, was model 2000 though. Comfy, but fast after changing some parts. Very reliable.

Very nice, thanks for sharing!

Is the Genius 10 the top of the range model? Is that a Fox Talas in the front?

Yes, why not!
No, thereīs given a top-model from the genius MC 10 - it named
Limited and costs further more hundreds Euro. That was too
heavy for my wallet!
Thatīs right, the front is a Fox Talas - it works very good - for my
operation areas itīs fantastic.

I know, itīs a very old thread, but now itīs presently for me again!
Yesterday morning a new owner bought my Scott Genius, because I wasnīt
so happy with it.
And today I gave the order for a new bike, this time itīll be one of CUBE , the type named Stereo and have got a very good equipment!

Now Iīve to wait about 2 - 3 weeks, until the bike will arrive at dealers
house, but this situation isnīt so bad for me, Iīve got a 2nd bike, so I can
ride a little bit!

My new one:

Nice!

Now the wait...

The bike looks like it's suitable for all mountain performance. Simlar performance like mine.

I test drove a cube ams pro, but decided to go ahead with the ghost. The stereo was not available in spring though, I guess. I would have given it a try.

Have fun!

@Dante: Yeah, in the present the Cube looks like very solid, I was afraid, as I saw it on the press-pics before, because on them I found the bike
a little bit too gracile and not suitable enough for riding more heavy trails.
:rocks:
The AMS Pro would be my 2nd choose, if the Stereo wouldnīt be available in a short distance, but my dealer gave me his bond, that the rest
of smaller size-bikes are comming in the next 2 weeks, so itīs not so hard for
me to wait.
Iīll drive to the Gardasee in this September once again, so I can check it exactly.
