We didn't know the importance of water back then. We used to finish the night with beer, now I down a shit ton of water plus an Advil before sleep. No hangovers.

Yeah I do the water thing too but not the Advil. It seems to work pretty well. Maybe I'll add the Advil and see how that works.

It works gloriously. I take 2 Advil, 16 oz water and a multi vitamin. If one is less effective I do not care, it WORKS.

I remember being young & single in ATL w/a W-2 Salary. Only nights taken off from the bars were Mondays.
Still don't get hangovers at 32, no matter how hard I go (I can count on 1 hand the total times it's happened). I've always been lucky in that department

I was the opposite. When the street lights turned off, it was time to head to someone's home.

That's me. I drink a few glasses of wine (a good zinfandel) on Friday nights and never get a hangover. And I usually drink enough to get a decent buzz. Saturday morning I feel just fine.

We went to Italy for our honeymoon and was asking why my wife never got a hangover after all the wine we drank. They told us b/c they have no sulfites in their wines over there and that was a contributing factor. Very rare to find wines in the states without Sulfites.

I was never a huge partier, so in some ways I kinda feel like I can't relate to that lifestyle. Maybe my parents were smarter than I thought by instilling a strong work ethic at such a young age. I was always hanging with friends working on our cars/riding dirt bikes. We did some dumb stuff, but were never out all night partying. I commuted to college and worked full-time, so the college social life was unfortunately something I missed out on as well.

I do remember one time I was working at Dunkin in high school, a friend and I had a bet for who could do more espresso shots. He did 10, I stopped after 9. That was the first night I went home and just laid in bed watching the sun come up until I had work the next morning. An odd feeling for sure, and I don't recommend it. We both thought we were going to die.

I read on the interwebz: "Although all wine naturally contains small amounts, many manufacturers have started producing wines without added sulfites. You can also opt for red wine, which has significantly lower concentrations than other varieties, such as white wine or dessert wine." I drink red Zinfandel.

...and what did you expect????

I think margaritas carry so much ice that they are less damaging in the morn.
and the citrus doesn't hurt.

As I said, no more drinking like that for me. Too old and may not get up one day from it. Will stick to my wine. Next morning I'm up, happy and ready to face the day.

Well I quit the hard stuff & went with only beer at 15yrs old, starting margaritas only in my late 50's when the family had it's 'troubles', so I figure I should waste some brain cells now. We have it down to margaritas on Friday nights so we can stand watching the news shows.
Beer & pacalola most any time!?
