How is that ironic? A single fact or event cannot be ironic. It must be taken in context with another. Now, if had been going around preaching your moral and religious viewpoints, and perhaps scolding other posters for their irreverence - and then admit that you don't go to church.. that would be ironic to a degree.

That's me to a "T", I must agree. Surely not just irony, but a bit, too, of poetry.

I laughed too. Now,I don't feel so bad because you laughed as well and you are my moral compass.

It's ironic because I was a man of GOD...until I walked away and never looked back.

But I'm not his enemy.....it was more of a mutual agreement.

I guess that qualifies as ironic. Was it a fight over a woman? That's how most friendships hit the rocks. (jk)

Having enemies are a lot better than having friends, because at least you know where your enemies stand!

Absolutely,

You tend to keep enemies in front of you...where you can see them.

You tend to keep friends behind you, thinking they are backing you up...meanwhile they are in a perfect position to stab you

I actually think religions are interesting.
But each religions has so many wackos, which makes u question each religion.

Catholics - It's kind of communistic. People don't vote for the members of the Vatican, the Vatican carefully selects its own members to lead people into interpreting the Bible in the Vatican's way.
And how can we forget all those pedophilic Catholic priests?

Christians - In North America, there clearly appears to be two Christian Gods: a white Jesus and a black Jesus. White people have their own exclusive church and black people have their own. I have NEVER seen a Christian church with proportionate numbers of white and black people. So discrimination clearly exists since most of these white and black churches converse in English, so there isn't a language barrier preventing white and black people from mixing. The white church seems very strict and sings serious psalms. The black church is more relaxed and they sing jazzier songs. George W Bush goes to the white church, Beyonce and Kayne go to the black church.

There is also growing support for an asian Jesus. Asian people also have their own exclusive church, but most of these converse in Asian languages, so I can understand why there isn't a proportionate number of other cultures. But some of the people who go to these churches are just as racist. Take my aunt, who is an Asian church leader but hates black people. What a moron

Scientology - What can I say, Tom Cruise is BONKERS

And then there other East Indian and Asian religions, which I don't know enough to make a comment.

I'm really interested in religion too. Before this whole da vinci code thing (which I haven't read yet), we always just accepted what was in the bible. Except for thelogical scholars, many never even knew that there were hundreds of other Christian writings that never made it into the bible, and that the early church dismissed these writings. Now we have all these writings and gospels and letters and apocaylapses, it makes me wonder, which writings are actually true?

It would be a different story if Jesus had actually written down all of his teachings and we had things in his words, but in reality, as far as we know, he didn't. Modern Christianity is based on what just a small few had to say about it, based on their interpretation, in some cases written hundreds of years later.

I'm just glad we've reached a point in time where people are open minded and are starting to think for themselves, rather than be led around like drones.
