How do you 'settle' for an E550? Congrats on the car.

So this is the new one! Nice, congratulations, enjoy it in good health!
Looks nice, hopefuly drives nice too.

I must say though, that C63 AMG is my choice between the two. Love the agressive stance of the headlights and the car itself.

Congrats again, nice toys!

Renntech tune nets 530hp from that motor, it's insane.

Definitely in to see any performance figures post tune.

Btw, if anyone's interested in getting a 550 I would suggest they act now, I read that MBZ is planning to phase out the E550 and only have E400 (with new turbo v6 with 3-400hp) and E63 models.

That's absolutely correct regarding the phasing out of the E550.

Check out these Eurocharged numbers (E550):

Stage 1:

Peak Power (bhp) = +80hp

Peak Torque (lb-ft) = +90tq

Speed Limiter *(mph) = 200+

Hey stranger.

Grats on the new babies.

Does that tune fry your warranty?

Legally, only if they can show that any fault being submitted for warranty work is attributed to the tune. They can say all day it voids the warranty, but frankly it's against the law as I understand it. I think the Moss-Magnuson act prevents them from outright voiding a warranty. They can only deny work on a case-by-case basis if they can show you caused the fault by modification.

How's it going bud? And thanks!

Nope. Mercedes-Benz is really laissez-faire when it comes to tuning. They've had absolutely no problem with the Eurocharged tune on my C63. I expect the same to hold true for the E550 as well.

Thank you. I've seen both the CLA250 and CLA45 AMG in person now. Which are you opting for?

Yeah but if anything happens to engine, it can be attributed to the tune since it puts more stress on the engine right?

I would agree with you, but this is such a grey area.

Everyone says different things, but the OP's dealer seems to be okay with it, so I would SO do it too.
