Write and rewrite. That's how I remember things.
Just make sure she's smart. In my geology class, this girl used to sit next to me and we'd discuss the questions on the open discussions quizes. After like 2 days, I realized she was dumb as hell. So I moved seats and now I sit next to this gangsta ass black dude. There's only two thing that guy knows. Hip hop and geology. I'm not even gonna lie, I feel stupid sitting next to him. But hey, as long as he helps me get a good grade, I'm not complaining lol. |

that sounds like a middle school test... i haven't had a definition test like that since then.. but yea as people have said, shut off your computer, sit in a quiet room and study your ass off...
my molecular biology final last term was on 1200 pages in our text book... and i just studied probably 8-10 hours a day for a week.. and got a A- on it.. you just got to put the time in.. your little definition test should require a 1/5 of that time to learn...

I think she's the smartest girl in the class lol. It's basically labeling and defining medical terms and lab tests etc. Probably even label parts of the skeleton. Definition test is the easiest way to put it, I don't study near the computer either lol. Thanks again for the help.

I do this regularly for my French class, we do about 130 terms every two weeks, and I've aced all of them. It only takes an hour or two of studying with Quizlet.
Use www.quizlet.com , make an account then go to make your own flashcards. The learning part is really putting the information in to make the flashcards. After that's done, it'll give you multiple tools to study your terms with. I find that using "Learn" is the best way. |

I would suggest studying in periods of 2-3 hours at a time. Your brain needs time to decompress and relax. Maybe study in one place for 2-3 hours and take a break! Go sit outside or take a walk. Whenever you're on the go, bring flash cards. I found it helpful to stimulate my brain with different sources of learning and revision. One last thing I used to do, given I had a week or more to study, was to set up a studying calendar. I know this may sound elementary or unnecessary, but have a schedule allows you plan out the material in even segments. For me, it gave me peace of mind to know that everyday (if I was on track) I would be x% closer to covering all the material.
I think you have plenty of time to accomplish your studying. Good Luck! |

Jesus Christ is this the type of shit they waste your time with at college these days.. That's 200+ words and definitions you will probably never use again and forget about a month after the test.

Do a bunch of cocaine. Build an elaborate breakfast machine rig to ignite the pool of gasoline (conveniently located under/around your chair) if you get up off the seat. Jumper cables attached to nipples; shock every time you look up from the text. Hire Pauly Shore to prance around in a clown uniform - representative of what your life will be if you fail. How/why can this be effective? See step 1.

Like always, I did not read all of the replies so I'm not sure if this has been posted. I hate studying so speed is important for me.
I also hate writing anything. ever. That's what computers are for. The key to remembering something is recalling it from memory over and over again. If you have or can get the terms and conditions into a spreadsheet or CSV then simply import them into AnkiDroid. It's like advanced flashcards. If you're weak on a term you can have it pop back up in a short amount of time. If you're great at a term you can tell it to recall the next day or month even. There are other apps like AnkiDroid but that seems to work well for me when it comes to importing very large lists. Good luck. Edit: I've been had. I guess the first part is a friendly reminder on why to at least skim the replies before wasting my time. Perhaps someone will get some use out of my tips anyway. Well played. Ps- @Sidewinderpb is the winner.

I'm a dork but I used to use accents.
When I was studying english and going through word sheets, I made them sound like Mussolini was saying those while wearing a cup. Swedish was memorized with the voice of one of finlands former prime minister. Ethics were the sound of gw Bush jr and everything related to building or stock market runs through my head with the voice of Remontti Reiska, a Finnish guru of muscles and timber (I truly don't know why women all love him but we do!). My way takes off the strain in studying. You can't be stressed over it if you keep picturing Mussolini listing words and definitions.
