I think this is Lebrons last season with Miami. Let's see what superstar he plans to have dinner with, so they could discuss joining forces. What a easy way out, like he did with Miami. Then he'll have this big show to say what team he's joining. If that happens, all the Bandwagon fans will switch to whatever team he chooses.

Lebron is a physical specimen, something unique. A once in a generation type player. But MJ is on a whole other level above everyone. He has a killer instinct and passion for winning that no one in the game today has except for Kobe. Lebron might be the best athlete to ever play the game, but give me MJ and Kobe any day for their win at all cost mentality. JMO

Yes sir. I'll take MJ, and Kobe anyday. Lebron should give Ray Allen a check as his Christmas gift. After Lebron turned the ball over with minutes winding down, and Miami loosing. Ray Allen saved Lebron from criticism again by hitting a huge 3 pointer.

LOL MJ can't even beat two Sheen in his prime.
All jokes aside MJ is still the GOAT and slowly but surely we'll be seeing Bron as a strong GOAT contender.

Dear Scottie,
I have nothing but respect for you my friend as an athlete and knowledgeable basketball mind. But you are way off in your assessment of who is the greatest player of all time and the greatest scorer of all time. Your comments are off because of your limited perspective. You obviously never saw Wilt Chamberlain play who undoubtedly was the greatest scorer this game has ever known. When did MJ ever average 50.4 points per game plus 25.7 rebounds? (Wilt in the 1962 season when blocked shot statistics were not kept). We will never accurately know how many shots Wilt blocked. Oh, by the way in 1967 and 68, Wilt was a league leader in assists. Did MJ ever score 100 points in a game? How many times did MJ score more than 60 points in a game? MJ led the league in scoring in consecutive seasons for 10 years but he did this in an NBA that eventually expanded into 30 teams vs. when Wilt played and there were only 8 teams…. In terms of winning, Michael excelled as both an emotional and scoring leader but Bill Russell’s Celtics won eight consecutive NBA Championships. Bill’s rebounding average per game is over 22.5 lifetime, MJs best rebounding years was eight per game (1989).… Bill played on a total of 11 championship teams and as you very well know, Scottie, the ring is the thing, and everything else is just statistics. So I would advise you to do a little homework before crowning Michael or LeBron with the title of best ever. As dominant as he is, LeBron has yet to win a championship. I must say that it looks like Miami has finally put the team together that will change that circumstance. Its my hope that today’s players get a better perspective on exactly what has been done in this league in the days of yore. Affectionately, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, NBA’s All-Time Leading Scorer |

When Jordan played, I stopped watching. It wasn't fun, he just dominated everyone. LeBron is fun to watch, but nowhere close to being as dominate as MJ. MJ certainly never wilted in the 4th period of the finals.

According to some of the reported rumors I've seen lurking around the net..... does anyone believe the Lakers will pick up either Lebron or Carmelo in the summer of 2014?

These guys are superstars in big market teams, at this point they can stay where they are and have people come to them. The teams to play for has always been LA, Boston, NYC, CHI and now MIA. Smaller market teams have a hard time trying to draw in more than one superstar, gurantee you if lebron was first drafted on to one of those teams like both Jordan, Kobe, Bird, Magic, etc etc he would of stuck around. People played rougher back then? Well thats true, even football was rougher back then. But the atheletes in todays game is leaps and bounds ahead of the atlethes of yesterday.

Lebron should stay in Miami. Carmelo is from Brooklyn NY, so he might stay. Looking forward to the NBA season. I hope my Knicks go further in the playoffs, then they did last season.

Here we go with Lebron and 4th quarter. He carried his team in 2 consecutive NBA finals in a row to win the championship especially when Wade and Bosh were no existent.

Miami opens up against Brooklyn Nets. Can't wait for the Knicks season to start, because it's safe to say my football Giants are pretty much done. Hopefully they can turn this mess around fast.

i'll take a 6'8" 260lb LeBron over MJ any day.
LeBron has Jordan like skills - and not only that, but he's 2" taller and weighs 60 more pounds..... id drop my next 20 paychecks on it...... Kobe ?? pfffft.....Jordan would have a harder time with Kevin Durant...... Jordan playing LeBron 1on1 would be like Jordan playing Charles Oakley, but Charles Oakley having the same skills as Jordan... get it now !??! |
