Some more interesting news: McLaren sort-of already has an agreement with BMW. I think it's for development of EV infrastructure for future cars. Audi ownership will likely end up voiding that agreement.

I think Porsche retools and moves into the facility under their name. There's a good chance the facility was already developed with this in mind.

The question will now be whether Porsche will develop the ERS as well. It's almost a guarantee that Audi will develop the ERS and Power Units. In fact, I think Audi will probably develop almost everything in-house like Ferrari does but under both McLaren and Audi names.

VAG does have a relationship with Rimac but I'm not sure if they'll be involved. Only time will tell.

Porsche bought 45 % from Rimac-Croatia (founded in 2009 by Mate Rimac) and so also the Rimac Nevera electric powered technology .
The 4 Nevera's updated electric motors produce a total of 1,427 kW - 1,940 HP and 2,360 N⋅m (1,741 lb⋅ft) of torque.
The Nevera claims to be able to accelerate from 0–100 km/h (62 mph) in 1.85 seconds and achieve a top speed of 415 km/h (258 mph)

By the Rimac technology , Porsche has very strong cards to make it in F1 ...
Rumours are saying that Porsche already build a F1 PU prototype with mind-blowing HP numbers ...

I've been in a Tesla 3 with it's blank front and very low scuttle on full 'throttle' it's a killer, (3.6 sec,0-100 kph) anything quicker could knock an old guy out!

Oddly, that F355 is one car that, after 10 years of ownership, I really don't miss as much as the C4S I had next.
Was the 355 problematic?

I'd LOVE a 430 Scuderia - those things sounds absolutely insane.
Problematic? Only if you consider the 15,000 mile service require dropping the engine for valve guide replacements and costing nearly $12,000 for the service. The Spider had power articulating seats to retract the top. Those failed at about 10,000 miles and cost several thousand dollars to replace.

I paid more to maintain that car over 10 years than my brand new Porsche C4S cost to buy outright. It was a dream come true car for me but I've adopted Jay Leno's attitude toward Ferrari. They feel they are bestowing a blessing on you to allow you to own one of their cars and I can't say that I ever felt like the valued customer they way Porsche treated me.

However, that high revving V8 sound was seriously erection inducing.

I could see Porsche lining up their entry into F1 with the 911 going hybrid. Sell it as F1 tech.

VAG greenlit both Porsche and Audi for F1.

It's looking like McLaren won't partner with Audi - probably a bad move on their part.

Last news I heard is that Audi is planning on a full team operation buyout with Alfa Romeo looking the most likely. Potentially Aston Martin and Williams.
