Did you even look at the pic you were posting??? All I see is a pretty blonde smiling while putting clothes on a Mannequin aka dummy with boobs. Kind of freaky but its ok as the blonde is quite hot
Ontopic, that merc you posted is very popular over here as I assume it must be reliable and cheap to repair. Love the straight 6 exhaust note.

Take it for what it's worth, but I've owned 3 bmws (e46 323i, E53 X5, e46 M3) and had to visit the dealership an aggregate 7 times due to engine issues (2 pretty serious, 1 potentially life threatening) .
My wife's owned 3 mercs (W203 C320, W211 E55, W212 E350) and never once took had to visit the stealer due to engine issues. The fun factor is subjective. |

I had the V-10. It was a lovely free-revving engine. But its torque was puny, which is true of smaller capacity engines. With normal aspiration the torque on a 5 liter is around 390 plus or minus a few pound feet. (I also had a normally aspirated 5 liter CL55 AMG Merc which also had the same torque.)

New Mercedes petrol inline-6 M256 with BorgWarner electric auxiliary compressor and 48-Volt integrated starter generator (+20 eHp) is a masterpiece engine. I would consider it better than current BMW I-6 engines:

Outside of performance engines, and before MB gets back into straight sixes, BMW has better four and six cylinder motors and ZF transmissions are better than MB. Comparing the M to AMG motors is a little trickier and the dry clutch AMG transmission is pretty competitive to DCT.
But for me, personally, as long as BMW offers manuals and MB doesn't, there's really no MB that even hits my radar. |

I've had three Mercedes, two AMG's last one an E55 with nearly 600hp and 600 somethingoranother trq. Forget now. But I prefer AMG engines, something solid about them and the sound is preferred imho. Put and AMG engine in a BMW with Audi interior.

just a waste really. I get in my 328 with my N20 and it just roars when I fire it up. Truly awesome, believe me. I've heard that the N20 sounds like a diesel if you are standing on the outside, but I don't care since I'm on the inside. Sorry, I just woke up from my dream. What was the question? |
