While we are on unconfirmed rumors:
'Marko wins power struggle from Horner, Verstappen can no longer leave Red Bull'
Red Bull bosses are said to have feared a possible departure of Verstappen. This is because there is a clause in the Dutchman's contract that would allow him to leave in the event of Helmut Marko's departure. As a result, bosses would have decided to extend Marko's contract and give him more power. This would mean that he has won the internal power struggle conflict with team principal Christian Horner. It also means that Verstappen can no longer leave Red Bull Racing
https://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/moto...ll/ar-BB1qtJBi

Looks like Helmut Marko will leave Red Bull feet first

So two things that are other factors in this race, firstly the flexi wings will be monitored or they will modify them to reduce it before the monitoring, is this going to change the order, so there is more to this for all teams even though it seems for now only some are being looked at.

Secondly there was a rumour that the FIA has found something illegal with the Red Bull and they were asked to change it after another team raised what they thought was an issue. Not it just seems to be a journalist and nothing more but not sure if it’s fiction or smoke from a fire. It’s not implausible as the drop off is quite sudden but seems a little far fetched to me.

Yes . At SPA the front wings from the well known teams will be monitored by small cams on the wings .
But only during the free practices (of course)
And if it rains , it won't be easy.

If the wings are too flexible , and not according to the FIA regulations .
Then we'll have to wait to see what they decide...

looks like Jos will have to stop talking to Toto as Marko has signed a contract, meaning Max no longer has an exit clause

Noted, but the question is will they have to use these same wings in quali and the race, will the wings used be marked by FIA ? It seems quite a tepid effort from FIA if that's all it is.

Yes . The wings will be marked with a specific FIA system.

Dot stickers will be used on the wings to see how much they move and bend at certain speeds.

As I said : MAX will get his 5th new Honda PU at SPA .
This means a 10 P grid penalty for MAX (!)
That's the 6th (or even lower) row at the startgrid.

Too bad . It is what it is.....

Wonder what was the specific problem with that 3rd PU that went back to Japan, the one that packed up in the Canadian practice.

MAX won from 14th in '22 at Spa and from 6th last year, the big aero upgrade will put him on a win before the summer break, even Checo should manage this easy drive circuit.

I saw that coming... Kinda unprofessional, imo. Sure, maybe he's done it in the past successfully, but when there's an entire team working countless hours to support him and he's just playing video games all hours, it's not quite giving the respect to his team that they deserve.
