I'm currently using a Nikon D5200, and would have to recommend the Nikon cameras. I'm looking at possibly upgrading to the D5300 from my current D5200 which I've been quite happy with. Nikon D5300 is able to shoot 1080p 60fps, D5300 also has a iso range up to 12800, have a look

I bought a Nikon D7000 and am very pleased with what it can do. With any camera you'll have to put in some time to learn how to use it. Most cameras these days are pretty good so you can't really go wrong with any middle DSLR camera whether it's Canon or Nikon.
Important thing is to learn how to use it. Here are some sample shots with my Nikon D7000 and the basic lens that comes with it (18-105 f3.5) |
