My wife loves the cayman S. She prefers Cayman over f-type. She also loves the Macan. After we test drove Macan, I was sold but I can't afford 2 porsches.
I left deposit today for Agate Grey 2014 Cayman S. Will let you guys know if I sign the paper next week. The best thing is I get to keep my m3. However, we agreed we will sell M3 eventually once family gets bigger. Now on the cayman s, is there anything to watch out for ? Do you have to go dealership for oil change and other services or can indi mechanic do them all? I am kind of guy hates paying arm and leg for dealership services. |

Styling, presence, sound - F-Type
Driving dynamics - Cayman FWIW A friend of mine recently had to make the same decision (well it was between a Boxster and F-Type roadster) and he chose the F-Type. His reasoning was that he would much rather drive the most exotic-looking Jag on sale today than a poor man's Porsche. His opinion not mine. |

To each their own...going by your friends argument, a carrera s is a poor man's porshe ( not turbo s/gt3 rs ) as well. When u case the badge you lose out on the essence of driving.
I love both cayman and 911, cayman have that stigma, if you can get pass that, its a great car. |

I made the mistake once of deciding the car my wife was going to drive.
She complained about it until the day I sold it. Just bought her a new car & had to factory order the color combo. But she loves it. Lesson learned.
