Digging this one up again.

OP: I like the style of the CT60 as well. Very classic.

You may want to look at IWC as well. Very good watches and similar styling:

You may want to look at Zenith also.

You can also look for used watches on this site: www.watchrecon.com
It pulls in a ton of classified ads from many different watch forums. Just make sure the seller has references.

IMHO Tiffany's goods are way, way overpriced and then there's the issue of their quality.....

I would listen to the posters who have responded to you here, $12k can get you an incredible watch from a reputable manufacturer with great quality and resale value. $12k could get you two very, very good used watches.

Take some time to visit the Forums on the following site: http://forums.watchuseek.com/forum.php

The complete Tiffany Timepiece line underwent a redesign, inside and out before the CT60 was released. The Ct60 now uses La-Joux Perret (hublot, Tag, Panerai) and Selitta (Bvlgari, Omega) now that Swatch Group has pulled back on the ETA movements. The watches are made in a swiss factory not far from Patek Phillippe, a Tiffany collaborator since 1853. The watch will not lose 1/2 the value after purchase. In fact it will appreciate due to Brand and rarity(17,000 total watches produced 2016)

I am not disputing your opinion, but if you want to see just how quickly Tiffany watches lose their value, take a peek here: http://forums.watchuseek.com/search....chid=134180353

At the $12k price point the OP is at he certainly has choices in the realm of Rolex, IWC, etc.

Thought this article- https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/Tiffany-CT60 -and pictures show how good looking the Tiffany '60' line is. I wish the IWC Portugeiser line had a similar look to pieces like the Tiffany Calendar.
Tiffany watches are a known entity, in comparison to a company like Hublot which had good pieces but I believe now they've lost a LOT of their desirability.
