This is impossible. Not just because NBC would never do it for F1, but also because every F1 show gets the same race feed from the FIA's official feed.

Wow some harsh replies.
The reality is we in the US have really no Drivers with F1 experience ( Ok M. Andretti (both) S. Speed, Cheever, Sulivan)
So not much of a "pool" to pick from if they are to make a change.
My fear (and of others) is we will get generic NBC sports talking heads who just started to read up on the sport!
Varsha did great "color" along with Hobbs, was actually funny. Matchett is brilliant. I also miss Peter, but Buxton does a great job. Knows the sport inside and out. I have met him a bunch of times and is a great guy.
The Speed crew both on and off camera have done the hard work to build the F1 Fan base in the USA. They deserve to keep their jobs so we don't take three steps backward.

I dont mind Varsha at all, Lets keep in mind how long hes been in the game. I mean particularly F1. I remember him back in the early ESPN days when we struggled to even get a glimpse of anything F1.
F1 is a sport with rich historic heritage and Im afraid you need some of these 'oldtimers' to convey that.

Good riddance. Hobbs is annoying.

Much prefer the BBC team.

That's only a matter of money and technology and the technology is not that challenging. You're just sharing multiple inputs from digital cameras. It's the money that will put this further out in the future. If F1 were to generate serious ratings in the US then a major broadcaster would want more control over the feed, especially for US races.
