Wax is so 1992, lol. I use a waterless wash that works amazing and protects like no other. Absolutely an unbelievable product. Honestly, what I did was get my car ceramic coated then I just use Clear Shine to keep her right. It's never scratched my car or done any harm. I use it on my interior, everything. Shit is amazing!!!

The actual wax is a dream to apply and remove. Also UK to Belgium no customs issues. |

If I want paste wax, it's Swissvax. If I want a sealant, I just use Power Lock. Both are great. But I have a vast collection of waxes and sealants from back in the days when I went completely overboard on all this stuff.

Most sealants and coatings are under $100 for a generous application and many can cover a normal sized car twice. So call it $50-$60 per application. Now add in all supporting cast of polishers, pads, towels, lights and a steamer and then you're starting to flesh out the expensive part. |

As a wax, Zymol really impressed me. I used their cleaner wax on my 2005 Sti and the results were incredible. Even took out some light swirl marks for me. I had the Metallic Obsidian black with pearl and it looked soo deep with tiny flecks or blue / green that I couldn't even see before Zymol. I remember one day after waxing my car some old lady stopped me while I was parking to ask me about my paint haha.
Anyway. I just got my cpo bmw and bought some Mothers clay bars and carnuba wax to try on my mineral grey wagon. It was easy to apply and buff by hand. Results are fine but not Zymol level and dust is quickly attracted to the finish. I'm going to look into this ceramic coating business... |

But still....is it worth paying arm and leg for Swissvax or Wolfgang over well-regarded products like Griot's Garage? That's gonna depend on the person...for me it's not worth it. |

I have the Meguiar's also in my collection . But I prefer 100 X the Wolfgang Auto Bathe .
Wolfgang Auto Bathe = waterspot free , it contains oils (TUFF SUDS II) to nourish the paint . And the shine is incredible . But like with everything from Wolfgang , it's not cheap => https://www.wolfgangcarcare.com/wg1000.html

Another +1 for Collinite 845. Amazing protection, especially for the money.

It absolutely is just as important. Clear coat is just another layer of paint.
Opti-Coat is the best, not entirely sure I would call it a wax though. https://opticoat.com/page/opti-coat-pro |
