What car is that??? (People with debadged cars)
So last night I went to one of the local Starbucks for my usual dose of caffeine. As I was leaving I unlocked the car...courtesy lights turned on...I couldn't help but notice a guy and his 5-6 year old staring at my car. I upgraded the angel eyes with RD ice angel eyes...so I understood their reaction While I was doing a u-turn to leave, the guy stop the kid from getting into the other side of the parking lot...it became obvious they wanted to see what model my car was. To their disappointment, my car is debadged so the couldn't tell. I just recently got the OEM aero lip and the Vorsteiner turnk, so I couldn't help but smile as I entered into the highway
Anyone here with their car debaded has a similar story? |

My car is debadged. Most people who are not into BMW's that much, confuse it with the 5 Series. I had more than a few comments about it. One even asked if it was an M5?
I am not sure if I have to take as a compliment or not |

When I had my E90 it was debadged and once in a while people would ask what it was.
Now that I have the M, they still ask, but it's mostly due to the fact that a lot of people have never seen the Z4M Coupe.

That tells you how much full of BS are people who buy cars for symbol status, etc (i.e., "I need to get the highest model").

I debadged the side grilles on the M and will do a matte black M in the back so it doesn't stand out as much. I don't care if other people don't know what car I drive.

I debadged mine mainly because it makes the trunk look more clean. However, I find it very funny every time people ask me what model is my car. |

I think it looks less cluttered that way. I was going to the rear debadge as well, but decided to stick with the black M3 badge instead.

a lot of people mistaken my car for a m3...which is ridiculous because it looks nothing like it. It's probably all the mods that gets them wondering.

-Once i was eating at a restaurant, I sat next to the window where i can see my car. while i was eating i see this MDX comes in the parking lot, gets out of his car and looks at the trunk for the badge, guess what? No badge lol then he looked inside the car through my tinted windows to find a clue haha.....NOTHING, then he leaves.
-Sometimes people ask what car im driving! I tell them its a 328i. - once i got someone asking me if my car was a 6 series lol.....it wasn't debadged at the time
