Actually not a Fanboy response, it is well documented by various groups and here is Sept Article stating the issue still exist and Samsung will not may any statements about it. The most relevant information is the fact that Samsung will not all you to use Samsung pay with using its face or iris ID, you have to use the finger print or pass code. Apple on the other hand allows Face ID to pay for things.

The best advise I had heard about buying the 10 over a 8 or less comes down to the fact of do you want the latest and greatest tech and want to deal with the learning curve of the new tech. All your memory motions you use on your current phone will need to be relearn on the 10. Without the home button, you have to do things differently and it is not going to be the same as what you may have been doing for the last 10 yrs on the current previous iPhone design.

You need to decide is the extra cost worth what you get and then dealing with the user interface being different.

You are basically paying to opt in to a new user interface and have to be prepare for what they all involves.

The 8 does everything the 10 does except the Display tech and the Face ID, is it worth $150 to $300 more to have those extra feature

To me the biggest update of all time would be a battery that lasts twice as long. The X promises an extra 2 hours... that is honestly huge to me.

I can certainly understand. My plus sticks up a half an inch out of my jeans pocket. Extra dumb because of my red case.

They're not, Rogue Territory Stantons. The pocket bags are a little shallow though, my Oni and Samurai both hold it fine.

Phones have gotten to a point that last years iPhone is still good enough for me.

I used to want the latest and greatest, but now it seems that the latest is not that much greater than last years, at least not great enough to shell out the £800 or so for the new one.
Maybe I'm just getting old?

The A11 chip is insanely powerful and has potential that makes the a10 look ordinary. The stuff they can do once apps catch up with the a11 potential will be very intriguing.

Check out EverythingApplePro on YouTube to get a better idea of whether or not the X will be worth it for you. I have a 7+, and I don’t think it would be worth it to get an X. Not really pleased with the design either of the X. I checked out the Note 8 the other day, and was impressed by the design of the phone, particularly the screen. It looks better than the X.
