Non stop, stop over doesn't matter my checked bag always seems to get lost

Gate agent asks if you could check your cary-on?!? Overhead space is almost full, YOU SAY NO, with a kungfoo grip on your duffle just proceed to your seat…

pack lite, white button down shirt, Dark short sleeve polo, comfortable denim jeans and some nice neutral leather loafers are a must, everything else can be picked up @ site

disregard if your staying over 3 nights, and please stop buying black samsonite luggage

Edit: quick weekend trip with my wife, Conrad Fort Laudable FL, jet blue looses my bag AGAIN, had to buy trunks and a T shirt for the pool, only had Conrad logo items in my size, all I wanted was a cigarette, mojito and some sun but other guests thought I worked there lol, asking me for towels, drinks etc lol

Found bag and shipped to hotel 20 hrs later

I gave one of my employees a ride to the airport and I asked him where his bag was. He said he was wearing it.....HUH???
"I'm going for 3 days so I wear all 3 outfits on top of each other and then just take off 2 when I get there"
I was baffled, intrigued and miffed all in the same breath

Got damn this one is accurately accurate and hits home hard.

They need to teach this in high school as one specific dedicated class required senior year to graduate. Then again for college.

Many employers need to learn the benefits of this too.

About six years ago, I dragged every single one of my millennial co-workers into a conference room and helped them fill out the enrollment paperwork. Our employer was offering them a generous 7% match if they put in 5%, so it was like an instant 7% raise for everyone.

My wake-up call was in talking to a VP a few days before his retirement. The guy worked a job while in college for two years in the 1970's, and his employer opened a retirement account for him and put in $1,500 with the same place that runs my employer's plan. He totally forgot about it, until he called them to set up his payouts and the agent asked which plan he wanted to draw first. That forgotten $1,500 turned into $87,000! Needless to say, my enrollment forms were in HR's mailbox an hour later.

My employer's generous match is based on years of service, so I am getting over triple my 5% contribution to help recover. Even so, my balance is still below the averages for my age group published by the big brokerages...and those average people are going to be in big trouble soon.

Anyway, the second-happiest day of my life was seeing my retirement account balance rise to the point where my net worth was above zero for the first time since high school.....

On the subject of investing in your future, I have a sad, but true story. My brother, who is in his early 50s now, started contributing to a 401k when he was in his 20s. After a couple of years, he decided to pull his money out to buy a car without understanding the penalties associated with his action. He then disavowed 401k's as "a bad deal" and never invested another dime. Today he has nothing saved for retirement and will likely work until he's either disabled or dies. Had he kept at it, he could have had well over $1M to retire on by now.

Never neglect your own life in order to accommodate someone else's. Fill your own glass first, then fill everyone else's. Eating my own words this morning.

You never know what demons someone is dealing with. Don't judge someone unless you are licensed to diagnosis them. Be kind, always. It may be the last time you see that person.

I live with that guilt every day.

Don't try to have a COVID vaccination discussion in the BP Off Topic section that think that it won't turn political and get shut down.

That sucks. Back during the 08-11 recession I had to pull my money to survive. I'm trying to rebuild but thats money Ill never see again.

Anyway, does anyone really have true success stories like that chart? All I ever hear was "if I had", or "I wish I listened"
