HORDE FTMFW!

RIP...been 2?3?years...takes so much of my time!
I used to actively play horde on skullcrusher back in the day before burning crusade came out. I was in Rage for a while, then SS. Played under the warrior name Phenom. Game got way too addicting so I quit. I played it since the 1st stress test through the betas, and then into retail lol, it sucked up so much of my time that now when I look back I think, what the hell was I doing wasting all that time on a video game?

It's the one game I've opted to stay away from. Half of the equation is cost, the other half is addiction. A friend of mine was crazy addicted to the game. He would play the game, become addicted, and to stave off the addiction ruining his life he had to snap all his game discs. A few months down the road boredom would overtake him and he'd buy the game again.....only to snap his discs a few more months down the road.

He went through 6 sets of game discs before he quit properly.

^^ previous arena gear costs less..

Three 70's I'm willing to part with.. This game never ends. Been playin 2 years and I'm over it.

All toons are in full s2 minimum

1. 70 resto shaman. full s2/s3 pvp.. has t6 for raid been thru hyjal and bt
2. 70 holy pally. full s2 with new s4 gear as well.. 400+ resil
3. 70 hunter. full s2
4. 69 twinkd frost mage.. farmin honor in 60-69 bracket
5. 29 twink rogue
all on ally

Eh... shoot me a PM if you want any of the toons/links to armory.. I would like to get rid of this game, forever.

lol everyone I know that dropped for AoC has returned to WoW since there is nothing to do in AoC after level 40.

I mainly play alliance on Arthas. 70 bm hunter, 70 destro lock, 70 resto shaman, a few twinks, a few leveling alts... yah, I have been addicted since release, but I do not plan on buying WOLK. We will see how long those plans hold out, kek.

ROFL!! Ok, I just dropped AoC. You're right. I might go and check out Warhammer Online. Star Trek Online is in development again. But I think that may be a year or two out.

I have always been a fan of warcraft. From 1-3 plus all the expansions. However I skipped over WOW, cause Im not into paying monthly to play a game. Its just a waste of money for me. Like buying a game and paying for it once is fine, but not on a on going basis

Your kind of missing the value from a time played - cost perspective.

Few singleplayer games that I've played have sustained my attention for more than a month. So assuming that I am always playing something, that is the same thing as a $50 a month charge to be entertained.

Versus in a MMO, you pay an initiation fee of $50 and then you have a recurring month cost of $15 for ALL of your entertainment. And this included weekly updated and bug fixed and bi-monthly ~ish content improvements and additions. Pretty good deal imo.

Plus as REALLY easy way to rationalise it is, $15 a month is the cost of 2 movie tickets. So if you see 2 movies a month, or you see 1 movie with 1 other person, you could just play wow instead and get alot more hours of entertainment. And you can still see those movies if you want, albeit not quite through a legal fashion.

That being said, I've been burnt out on wow for a long time. And for some poeple it can be VERY life consuming once you get into it. So I'd suggest you probably shouldnt get into it this late in the game.
