Why do girls expect guys to ALWAYS pay?

Wow this is a really annoying topic. Ok lets say its your gf. You guys are seeing each other and aren't that serious yet. I've picked up the tab for like a month, but shouldn't there come a time a couple starts splitting the bill. I mean come on we are both adults and have jobs. What are your opinions on that one?

In my experience it depends. I usually pay but 99% of my exs have always offered to pay or ask me if they can pay since I paid last time. I really dont mind paying but its when they expect it that it becomes a problem. It usually works out to 50-50 at the end, in most of my relationships

I mean so far I've always paid when i go out with a girlfriend, but what really annoys me is when they don't even offer to pay or pick up the tab once. We go out to restaurants and movies like 2-3 times a week, and im no Bill Gates since I have car payments, insurance and College to pay for lol.

edit: I do think though , that when I graduate and get a decent job these things wouldn't come to my attention.

Why are you taking their bait? Take your balls in your hands and stand up for yourself. Tell them, tough luck and for them to figure it out. Pay your bill and leave. If the woman that you're having dinner with doesn't offer/insist to split the bill she isn't worth investing your time in.

Women in America don't want equality, they want special treatment. They want to be paid what men are paid, but they still expect us to cover the bill. Also, even when the man is earning more for the household they for some reason think that they don't have to take care of the cleaning/cooking. American women are so useless these days.

They don't sound like good friends. Usually girls will offer to pay, at least that's how I've always experienced it; especially if they're just friends. I hope you're getting something out of the friendship you bought. Do they at least wingman for you?

This is becoming the norm for girls in Miami. When I was single, I would meet women out, eventually take them on a few dates. I wouldn't mind paying the first time or even the 2nd, but after that she should step up and at least offer.
