I haven't had a chance to play Starfield. I'm not sure I will. But No Man's Sky just never grabbed me beyond 20 hours or so. It just felt empty. Then I ran across a part of the game where they just (unbelievably) give you a massive freighter group, and I lost my final interest. I'm not a fan of procedurally generated games. I think a lot is lost when developers put too much reliance on it. Maybe as AI improves this will change. Where I really cannot stand it is names of characters and items... and even lore and backstory. Most times it is just so nonsensical it ruins immersion. Caves of Qud comes to mind as one the worst offenders.

I like open world RPGs. Like, Hogwarts Legacy, Assassin Creed series, Far Cry series.
