I use the internet just not on a computer, and I don't have internet access from my computer without going to a hot spot, and I don't like sitting in public using a laptop. I don't use computers in my job either. The info available on line is great, and I have been learning a lot about taking better pictures, and I researched and found my 335i on line.....just not on a computer.

So Light room is a no go. Version 6.0 doesn't support my Sony a6300 yet. Photo shop guy said camera is too new. Version 6.5 does but requires a download uupgrade. Version 7.0 will be out this summer and will cover a6300.

So typical of Sony to have some quirky proprietary format which is contrary to all other camera makes.

Its not Sony. It is every camera that is newer than the current version of software. The exact same happens when Canon and Nikon release a new camera.

While they all are called CR2 or NEF files, but, they are not compiled exactly the same way, every camera model is a bit different. And manufactures do not give out a roadmap to software companies. They have to decode it themselves. And they are not shipped a body early. They have to buy one on release day, then, work on creating the algorithm that works. it all takes time.

Lightroom....add plug-ins once you get the hang of it. I'm still a fan of owning software instead of paying for the cloud version with a monthly subscription. If you're really cheap there are a ton of places to get the cracked version for free.

YES.

One of the many reasons why I hate using Adobe products.

Can you go get a cup of coffee at Starbucks and update your program via their wi-fi? Update it once a year like that and you should be good.

+1

And you actually have to google to find the link/info to purchase Lightroom instead of subscription Adobe certainly hides it.
