For almost all PDAs, data plan is $30.00 a month. I think that's a lot, considering for that same amount, you get a lot of talk minutes. If it was 5-$15, I would consider it but at this point TXT, MMS, AUDIO, VIDEO SEND AND RECEIVE has to do.

I've been with them since 2001. Our plan's cost is $100, but we get 20% off because of my dad's work so it's a bit cheaper.

I also get the 20% discount, but if you look at it. For 40 dollars, you are getting 450 talk time, and for 30 dollars you are getting Data plan. If you were to put another 10 dollars on your data plan, you'd have another 450 minutes of talk time. Data plan is a rip off I think. I mean my home's Verizon Fios Internet is only $45 and it has None of the restrictions you posted. I think Verizon is great for making calls.

I've used the pay as you go for the data plan. Sometimes I'm in need of address in the middle of nowhere and I need internet I use it. But I don't use the data plan as a luxury thing. Specially being a college student if I have the data plan, I might as well stop going to classes because all be all over Forums and shiet on it lol

the discount is 15%(unless you 've got a bigger hookup), most of the data restrictions were illegal activity

My Dad's 20%, and I can get the 20% from my work, but since we used his we just use that. Depends on what detail your company has worked out with them.

Well no shit it's a touch screen.

I'm just messin with you...but seriously are the cameras the same? Same processors? Any features exclusive to one phone?

I see you mentioned WiFi. That's a big concern for me.

Yep, and with ATT you get the roll over which is sick and the unlimited data plan. Granted, they don't have the coverage but boy they throw you a lot of toys to keep you happy for the dropped calls you'll get. Also if you are in a covered area, MID-ATLANTIC and go with ATT it's super win win. Verizon really milks you for the great phone coverage they provide, no cool phones, high fees etc...

But get the Data Plan from Verizon, play with it and when you are bored with it cancel it. I know you've been waiting for this phone and quite frankly these phones without the data plan aren't much fun. But make sure, you aren't locked into any Data plan or anything for the remaining of the year. I remember with Verizon, you can always upgrade but never downgrade when you are in a contract. So make sure, you can remove the data plan after a month.

Also you can be clever, sometimes they just throw in the 1 month free data plan anyways. That's more than enough play time.

true, i don't need my e-mail on the fly, its not that serious. web would be fun but with no wifi would be hard to dowith out. but with the 30 i'd be saving could just get vz navigator, which for this phone can now show 3-d view. and it would still make a killer mp3 player , i guess....

*edit* my friend just told me there is a $5 internet plan but uses at night cause it uses airtime aka "valuable daytime min"

Thanks for that man! I dunno anymore. I thought I was set on the Bold but the Storm looks like it could potentially be better. Ugh.....choices choices.

I really like the Storm, and I would pick one up in a heart beat. However, there's 3 things that's holding me back....

1) It's with Verizon
2) No WiFi
3) The size & weight

Plus it's a 1st gen Blackberry touch-screen phone so we'll see what issues arise from it.

blackberry isnt like apple, they dont release new products every 2 weeks... , and people keep saying no wifi, its called 3G... Get with the program . Verizon > ATT > T-mobile > Sprint. It's shorter than the iphone but a little thicker.. big deal. would you rather be squinting the whole time or be able to read the screen clearly.

It's shorter than the iphone but a little thicker.. big deal. would you rather be squinting the whole time or be able to read the screen clearly.
What the hell makes you think I was comparing it to a POS iPhone? I already have a 3G iPhone that my work gave to me. You know what... it sits on my desk and acts as a paper weight since it's such a piece of garbage (tech-wise).

I already have a Verizon Blackberry on that network and sure it's blazing fast (faster than AT&T's '3G' network) but still not as fast as a dedicated WiFi connection. Hell, Sprints EV-DO network is just as fast (speed tests confirmed on both phones) and the 3G iPhone POS runs like ass with full signal on the speed tests.

But then again, not all of us use WiFi just to surf the web or do useless online crap that requires that type of bandwidth.... we have other things in mind . And AT&T being better than the others? LOL
