I almost did, I thought about it and returned one. There is nothing that will ever take full advantage of that for a long time. One is more then enough now haha.

budget gaming you need to go with a AMD CPU water-cooled with Nvidia graphics.i would say maybe something like the FX-8320 with a AIO water cooled so you can overclock it to 4ghz (~$240 for both). GIGABYTE GA-990FXA mobo (~160), PSU 850watt (~150), 250GB SSD (~100), nvidia 960 (~200), DDR4/DDR3 memory (~100). then you just need to buy a computer case or reuse the one you have. you can also reuse the storage and hard drives of your old pc. theres you PC for ~$1000 and if you wanted to get a better card you can upgrade it or buy another one for SLI in the future

I'm selling a new cooler master glacier 240 cpu water cooler that also expandable incase you ever wanted to expand the loop you could

That's what I thought, but just wanted to double check in case I was missing something. I'm slowly getting to the point where I need to replace my desktop at home, so have been looking to see which GPUs are decent these days. My current desktop is lacking in the GPU department, and since I run my security cameras on it, need to make sure it can cope when I upgrade to 3MP cameras this year.

What resolution do you game at? I have an older Titan overclocked to hell and back (coming close to stock 980 benchmarks) and it struggles to hold 60fps in quite a few newer games. I'm at 2560x1600 res though. If you're over 1080p you can take advantage of 2 970s, although you may be VRAM limited in some newer games.
