Bottas said : "It wouldn't be good for me" If Russell would beat me !
In other words : The pressure lays on Bottas shoulders ... And he can't handle pressure !
MAX on the other hand , he performs even better under pressure ..
Hope for Russell , that he "REALLY" may drive with HAM's car .Same power , same shift speed , ect...

If you read the whole interview, it does not seem like he feels the pressure at all. He is pretty chill about the whole thing. Not every team puts an inordinate amount of pressure on their drivers until they crack...

They have everything locked up and are now essentially testing for next year(s) during this season.

Good opportunity for BOT to get his ass in gear and step up to the plate.

I also wish Russell well, but in a new car I don't have high hopes. There is no auto pilot. It takes skill and practice to drive these cars fast. Otherwise you spin like Max in the rain.

I disagree. GR is going to rip. He's a great driver and is managing equipment which is likely more difficult to drive. We will see come Saturday!

Don't think BOT will let it happen, he's worried alright which will make him more intense and he won't want a Williams driver however hyped up, to rain on his parade. HAM is the norm but not smiley 63.

The Sakhir oval requires racecraft . BOT runs with grandma's cruise control button !
Cars will run with less of wing to get a higher top speed . Don't see BOT finish the race ...
On the other hand : BOT won't too bad during a few laps in the QF . But later in the race , won't see him using racecraft ..
His danger will come from behind ...

He'll probably get 50-60 laps in during practice, and with the much simpler circuit layout it will be easier to adjust. He'll do at least P3 IMO unless something goes wrong.

The Sakhir oval won't be easy . He should get some Face-time with HAM , regarding how he should pull the steering wheel to use DAS

I'd imagine they have him on a simulator as well so he can get the steering wheel and DAS down as muscle memory

Without the shoulder weights of HAM around him I think he'll turn on some ruthlessness, being free of the hindrance. The championship is over and if RUS is behind and tries to get past...of course Max will be watching and waiting!

On the not kidding side, you guys are talking about pressure. The pressure is squarely on one Mr. Mad Max/I’m not stoppen Verstappen. If he really is up to Lewis’s level, no time like now to show it. No excuses.

True. It is a tough position for him. If he wins, he only wins because HAM was out of this race. If he doesn't, then it makes him look bad. So at best he cements his place as a runner up. No win situation for him either way.

I voted P6.

There are some good racers/qualifiers up the front of the pack and I think George will enjoy the added power and handling of the Merc but there has to be some sort or learning curve. The guys up the front are right on the edge and I can’t see George finding that edge in three practice session.

Great opportunity at the track for my man Daniel. If I was a betting man, which I’m most certainly not, I sneaky Pineapple on him might be appropriate.
