protecting the finish with Ppf is essential where I live. lots of pebbles on the road so kicking them up does nothing to the paint. plus this matte paint sucks for longevity of durability. the cost is definitely worth it(to me)compared to looking at imperfections or rock chips.

Hey fellas,

What has been your experience with Feynlab? I've gotten a Modesta coating in the past and loved it but getting a quote from a new shop recommended by a few good friends of mine and they use Feynlab.

Feynlab seemed to hold up well for the two years I had it on the M3.

Do you have any experience with Modesta? If so how would you say it compares? Does the Feynlab coating give that high gloss almost wet look? That's what I loved about the Modesta coating.

Haven’t heard of Modesta before.

Yeah, the Feynlab always looked great when clean. Problem with AZ is that vehicles get dusty quickly so the wet look doesn’t last too long even if overall the car is still clean and just dusty.

One of the premier detailing shops in our area uses Kavaca window tint but Llumar PPF.

Ceramic coating over PPF? Why??? I swear some folks are just born to get taken advantage of.

I agree, if it isn’t too late and the work has already been done the OP should definitely do the rocker panels which many people ignore when just doing the front of their cars.

Also he shouldn’t ignore the A pillars and side mirror covers. Finally put Xpel Ultimate Plus PPF on the headlights.

Unless you purchase a PPF that is also hydroponic many of us want ceramic coating over our PPF.

I still don't get it. Just spray some quick detailer on there after you wash your car. Why the need for ceramic coating?

If you care for it properly the coating will last a very long time. 😉

I use Optimum Spray Wax over my Xpel PPF.

Completely agree. I don’t want to have to do spray wax after every single wash. Been there done that and ceramic coating on top of ppf is the way to go.

I guess the vegetation helps deflect any rock chips!

Hell yeah, with enough of that hydroponic vegetation. You wont be able to figure out how to start this thing and drive it = The best paint protection.

It's because everyone gets suckered into XPEL. Every other PPF has ceramic coating infused in it.

That statement is not correct and I am not a sucker.

I shopped around and the local shops that sold brands like STEK, Ceramic Pro, etc. which incorporated hydroponic qualities in their PPF gave me similar quotes to Xpel’s Ultimate Fusion. It was pretty much apples to apples and I went with the shop that I felt would do the best work.
