The prices of those vehicles ....! Wow.

Love the 5'er wagon with the M-Sport pack. Sadly I think the X5 would outsell it here without question.

Great photo tour, thanks for sharing!

Nope. You would think that but its not. No real competition over here in DE. Plus these prices include the German VAT tax of 19%! Most prices seem to be set, no matter what you are shopping for: electronics, cars, what ever. It's one of the things I noticed right away when I moved over here. It's not like in the US where you can have way different prices for the same item.

Also... cars over here have much shorter warranties. For a new BMW in Germany... you get a 2 year warranty. No free services like in the USA. AND... that two year warranty is really just a six month warranty... after six months... IF you never took your car to a dealer for a service(and the all important dealer stamp in the book)... if your car has a problem... the dealer might not do the work for free. This is one reason why Germany are religious when it comes to having dealers perform the servicing and STAMPING that book!

M4 base price is over €112k in NL, so thats €39k more than in Germany (and also €20k more as in Austria...)

For fun, look up some m4 prices in scandinavian countries like denmark or norway

My wife absolutely loves the 2er mini van looking wagon. We've seen some with an M-Sport package and they look very neat. Plus it's a diesel so I'm sure it's great on fuel. I've been to the Welt but I wasn't aware of "individual" dealerships. What a neat place! I'll have to look into these. I usually just look at the Euler dealers in my area. Call me crazy but I love snapper rocks blue. I've seen it on a 4 series gran coupe, stunning in person.

Agreed, as Dackel said he has thought about it! Never work a day again when you do something you love!

Cataloguing these trips is a job on its own but the memories are priceless. Funny what you miss. I moved from he U.K. To the USA in 2003 - be 14 years Sunday. I've popped to France briefly with my wife and son but when we visit the U.K. We visit different sites there. Europe has so much to offer.... I have to get back to the Italian lakes, Austria, Germany, France!

That why I love seeing these threads... I also got to go to the West Coast and see that!

Arrow BMW Lenbachplatz & Motorworld München...

Another small cool BMW place that many people often over look is BMW's Lenbachplatz display in downtown Munich. Think of it as a mini Welt, and it's quite close to the Hauptbahnhof(train station) in the downtown area of Munich...

Also at the end of this year or early next year the Motorworld will have a new home in Munich. This new site looks very promising for classic car fans. Construction isn't finished yet.. but it's gonna be an awesome local for car fans. I can't wait!

Its just a few kilometers up from the Welt...

I also really like that "snapper rocks blue" color. I saw a 4er at Geneva that was really quite eye catching in that blue!

Here in Denmark base price for a M4 is aprox $240.000
So yea, stupid prices due to heavy tax. We have a tax on the import price at aprox 150%, bother on new and used cars....

Super toll! Danke.

I've been looking for like forever for a "BMW Niederlassing xxx" Kennzeichen Halter.

I thought they stopped with these and now only use "BMW-xxx.com".

Preferably Niederlassung Düsseldorf as that's where I bought mine.

Currently rocking a BMW Autohaus Kainz Daun-Mayen-Wittlich one.

Just looked at their online shop, this is what I mean, this is the version they offer:

It could be they didn't update your website. But I am sure they can get you one IF they don't already have one. This dealership is HUGE. Both upstairs and underneath in the many garages they have. They have FOUR 18 car service centers plus a few more(~10 bays) up at street level. But its underneath in the garage where all the cool cars stay.

Yep Jim, I've also been to the back side of that street. Individual is there along with the "mule" storage area and wreck testwagens. The TUV also has a storage area next door to Individual Ind HQ.

And back around to the other side of Daimlerstrasse!

But stranger is the fact that replacement parts MSRP are somewhere around 25-33% less in Germany (excluding VAT) in my experiences.
